Finally painted the foyer over the weekend! What a project...
Since our foyer is two stories tall and kinda small, we put off this project for a while, but finally decided to go for it last weekend. We got 4 gallons of paint, borrowed a two-story ladder and called some family for help. 
We still need to change out the carpet, eventually get a new banister, get some furniture and hang some art but the hardest part (painting) is done!
The paint color is BM Smokey Taupe and all the after pics were taken in natural light. It's a taupey-gray color and it's SO nice in person. If we had the time and patience we'd re-paint our upstairs hallway this color too.

WOW, good for you guys!!! We have a foyer with a very high ceiling as well, and even my husband, who used to be in technical theatre, won't get up on a ladder to paint it  We're very much "do it yourself" people but I think we're gonna call for some estimates for that project

Wow! I panicked watching your DH paint around that beautiful crown molding. It would have taken us hours to tape that up.

That really is a great color - nice job!
Can't wait to see pics of the photo collage - I love those! I did one in my house and I don't think it came out that great.

Jess, love the color! to your DH to getting up on that high ladder and cutting around that molding. Beautiful job. Can't wait to see the pictures up on that wall, I'm sure it will be amazing.
