Fever in 3 month old?
My DS is 3 months old and started with a runny nose and sneezing today (I've been sick since Monday). I took a rectal temp and it's 99.4. When should I call the doctor?

Most peds say anything over 100.4 in a baby under 6 months. Anything under that is not considered a fever, bc babies don't regulate their temperature well so it fluctuates a lot. 99.4 is definitely nothing to worry about! Being that you were sick though, and that he also has a runny nose, I would keep checking his temp and watching to see if he is acting differently or anything. Hope he feels better soon!

99.4 isnt a fever. If the rectal temp is 100.4 you can give some tylenol and call your ped.

Thanks everyone for making me feel better! I'll keep checking him because of the runny nose. I feel so bad that I got him sick
