If you didn't replace your car seat, its your choice. EVERY BRAND I checked said CHANGE THEM. (except britex) It doesn't matter how minor. I am not taking a chance.
Just wondering what car seats to get? Which is a good 5 point harness.
Your insurance should cover the cost to replace exactly what you had before.
They were able to do so when I was in a fender bender.

Were the kids in the car during the accident?
When I was rear-ended the insurance company did not replace my seats because the kids were not in the car.

My child wasn't in the seat they replaced, but they did not ask me if she was or not.
