feeling drained
AF finally arrived this morning. i thought she would bring new hope for next cycle, but instead im just overall feeling emotionally drained. almost like i dont have the energy to start all over again. my head knows that ill be pregnant and have a baby at some point, but right now my heart just feels like its never going to happen. and the rest of me is scared to be hopeful again just to get let down if its BFN or a m/c or whatever...im usually good at staying positive, but i cant seem to do that right today either.
also i told my dad last night about everything, and his reaction made me really sad. he wasnt always in my life, and we only told the rest of our family about 2 months ago, but he seemed SO sad and concerned. it just made me feel even worse that we waited so long to tell him...
oh yeah and i also made the realization today that this upcoming cycle is my very last chance to have a baby before i turn 30. i know in reality its not a big deal at all, but its just another stupid pressure that im putting on myself for no real reason
anyway thats my pity party for today. i have a CD3 on saturday, hopefully by then ill feel better about the impending cycle... thanks for listening!

Re: feeling drained
I can completely understand, some days are better than others. The day that you get your BFP and later on when you hold in your arms, all of this will be behind you.

Re: feeling drained
awww..hang in there.
This is the most draining thing I have ever done.
I'm about to do two 5 hour infusions of IVIg. I'm completely overwhelmed.
Add my regular medical crap, my crazy job and all of the regular stress in my life..it seems that I just can't go on.
I totally understand how you feel.
We (I) will help you through it. We are your cheerleaders and confidants.
In a few days you will feel better.

Re: feeling drained
i completely understand what you're feeling and can relate. You'll get through this, you know you will!
i know its not for everyone, but have you considered taking a break for a month or two? I reached my almost breaking point in May and decided i had to take a break before we both went crazy. We'd been ttc'ing for a year and a half, and with an RE for 9 months.
So, DH and I decided to take a break for the summer (3 cycles, plus i had surgery during one of them) and it's been such a refreshing breather for both of us. I'm really looking forward to starting back up again next month, almost like it's a new start for us.
hang in there!

Re: feeling drained
I just went through the whole "turning 30" thing last week. I was so devastated because I had really wanted to be a mother or at least on my way. It's so hard when you have your heart set on something turning out a particular way. I'm so sorry that you are having a tough day, but you are definitely entitled to a pity party every now and then.
Sending you lots of positive vibes for your next cycle.

thanks!
ive had to take more breaks than i have cared for in the last 7 months. only 1 of the breaks was my choice and even then i had a tough time dealing with the time off. 1 cycle off in January after hyperstimming, 2 months off March-May when i got a new job, and 1 month off in June after the m/c. ive actually only had 4 cycles total in that time. So even DH agreed that we are def not taking a break as long as we can help it!!
thanks for the advice though - its prob the same advice i would give to someone else in this position!!

Re: feeling drained
I can understand feeling drained. Keep your head up you have been thru alot and I admire your positiveness. I have been trying for 1yr w/ RE and not looking forward to my 39th Bday this year. I can relate to the drained feeling but I will not give up either.

Re: feeling drained
We all have been there... just keep focusing on the prize! You are totally allowed a pity party too when you need. the funny thing is when you are out you have a minute before you start back up again!! Happy Thoughts!
