Feel good Wednesday
What is your happy story for the day?
I got my US passport (renewal) in 6 days!!! I cannot believe it! In Germany all paperwork takes so much time, so that really made me smile that I got it so quick. American beaurocracy is so much better!
I applied last Thursday, and the embassy/consulate (I always confuse the two) was a real pain to get into (with police officers all around), which is completely understandable. You need to make an appointment and have to go through all sorts of security (taking away your cell and anything electronic). I got through after they checked out all my paperwork.
Went in and went to a counter and was told my picture was not the right size (they have different sizes for paper and photos here). Took my photo, which is awful, but whatever. Did that and was told it would be three to four weeks.
Now I just need to take care of my residency so it matches my passport. That could take weeks, but that’s German beaurocracy for you. I just need to get it done before my divorce paperwork officially goes through (it’s been a year and a half already, and I expect it will take another 6 months).
So what’s your happy story for today?

I feel pretty today.
Sounds stupid, but I woke up feeling good. So I wore a dress to work. My long knee scars show, but I don't care.

i LOVE those days!!
enjoy every minute of it.
i am feeling good because i FINALLY found the key to get myself out of my funk. i had been slowly creeping up on the weight and was really feeling like i just couldn't turn it around. nothing i did was working and all i wanted to do was eat, eat a lot, and eat a lot of junk food. i would even get up in the middle of the night to eat sweets.
out of the blue, i decided to reach out to my cousin and create some small wagers to motivate us to lose weight. our first wager is over. she won. she lost 6.2, i've lost 4.4. it's not a tremendous amount of weight, but i'm finally moving in the right direction and feeling much more positive about the whole thing.
i can do this and i will look good in the pictures of SO's 50th birthday party!!

My dh and I are leaving for Iceland in 10 days and I can't stop looking at pictures!! It makes me happy and so excited.

2 things.
I finally switched gyms and started going back today!
And I booked my ticket today for an all girls trip in Dec. 18 of us celebrating 3 milestone birthdays!

I finally got the nerve to have a large bump (inch in diameter) cut off that I've had for 15 years! Sorry, gross, but I'm soooo happy that thing is gone!

My cousin saw it in London years ago and brought me back some awesome swag from the gift shop. She’s going with me on Friday Really, really excited for this, he will always be one of my favorites.

I came down with a nasty virus but was feeling up to showering so I did that about an hour ago and it feels so good to be clean, despite still feeling cruddy.
Also my friend who I’ve been pregnant alongside just gave birth to a baby girl I can’t wait to feel better to see them both, but also it’s feeling more real now that I’m next to go!

Feel good Wednesday
I applied for a job last night and woke up to find an email to set up a phone interview. Feels good to take a step towards re-entering the work force after being home since before my daughter’s birth.
