Favorite foods to eat at the beach
What are you favorite foods to bring to eat at the beach? We are planning to go to the airshow Sunday and are bringing food with us. What do you bring when you go to the beach? Looking for things that travel well and are kid friendly.

Re: Favorite foods to eat at the beach
Chicken cutlet sandwiches. My Mom and Aunt would take us all to the beach and we would always bring chicken cutlet sandwiches. One of us would always drop their chicken and have some "extra flavoring"????

Re: Favorite foods to eat at the beach
When I think of eating at the beach - when I was little, we would always have bologna & cheese on white bread. Just seeing it makes me think of the beach lol
But for what you are talking about, the day, I'd make bigger deli sandwiches on rolls and have fruit & some sort of snack - chips, pretzels, etc.

Re: Favorite foods to eat at the beach
We always grab sandwiches from a deli and a few bags of chips. And I like to cut up a tub of fruit (watermelon, pineapple, grapes, and melons).

Re: Favorite foods to eat at the beach
A large tray of baked ziti, large tray of cutlets, steak pizzaiola, riceballs, some sausage pinwheels to be grilled at the beach, a dozen loaves of italian bread, a mortadella and provolone sangwich as a midmorning snack (one loaf for each member of the family), the world's biggest salad, half the fruit store, grapes from the yard, a whole watermelon to be cut up at the beach, a case of homemade wine, a thermos of espresso for everyone to fight over and some cannoli. This is seriously what my off the boat nutjob family brought to the beach. It was a spectacle.

This is what my dad said his family always took to the beach. Well not exact but pretty close. He said it was amazing. My brother in laws family did the same thing. I think its craziness, I am good with a sandwich, chips and fruit.
