Fashion Hype I don't get...
So, there is "hype" around certain fashion/beauty trends, designers, etc. that I just don't get...What are yours?
The hype I don't understand:
- Tory Burch flats - they seem like pretty flimsy flats that my heavy foot would destroy upon the first wearing...and for $100+?
- Crocs - do I even need to discuss this here?
- Cowboy Boots - cute with jeans but not jeans tucked into them; wearing them with tights - ugh...
- Footless panty-hose...it just seems like you should wear it all or none at all.

they are cute on kids under the age of 3, that's about it.
i don't get skinny jeans (the tapered-leg ones)
i don't get super-high-waisted pants - they give EVERYONE a belly, who wants that??

ITA with everything except I have a personal problem with cowboy boots so I can't even grant them partial cuteness.

I don't get crocs as a fashion thing
But I can understand them for Dr(s) and nurses and people on their feet all day -
I don't get the flats either - Everyone I know who owns them complains about them being uncomfortable ........ -
I am tired of the whole maternity clothes look ...........

tory- just a hot designer and flats are one of the less expensive items to own from her collection - they are a status symbol of sorts- just like a prada nylon bag- same thing- its just a nylon bag with a triangle on it- kwim?
i like the colors she has for her flats- i like the rubber sole and the medallion, i get compliments on my snakeskin ones from people who dont know who tory is so i like thier look
crocs- i guess they are comfy and they are cute on kids- as for adults- i think they are horrendous and unflattering
cowboy boots- just a traditional trend - comfy, rugged yet sytlish
footless- used for sandals- i hate stockings though (i only like opaque) so i dont own a pair of them never will!

Tory Burch - I like them in different colors....llike the deep red I just got. I'll let you know if they are worth the $200+

I think crocs are just the most horrendous and ugly shoes I have ever seen. I don't get why people buy them, unless they are fishermen.
As for the Tory Birch flats-I personally love mine-I was told no heels due to back issues, and I tried on a pair of pink patent Tory flats and fell in love-They are sooo comfy, but I think it is a matter of taste.
And what are with the stirrup pants I am seeing lately-I don't think they are at all flattering.

I have to agree with the maternity shirts. I work out hard and am in pretty good shirt, but all the shirt styles are so unflattering and add weight. It is so frustrating trying to find a fitted shirt.

I do wear Crocs at work though. I swore i'd never buy them, but OMGGGG i seriously can't believe how comfortable they are. It's not even that it feels like you're walking on air or anything... it's just that after 12.5 hours straight on my feet, they don't even hurt at ALL. It's crazy- even my most comfortable sneakers start to suck around the 9th hour.
BUT, i hate running errands after work, because i don't want to be seen with them on out of the hospital (though, the scrubs usually serve as an alibi)
