Failed my 1 hour with a question
I failed my one hour and I even fasted to play it safe. I know just because of that I will probably fail the 3 hour. I failed my hour with #2 but I had tea before and passed the 3 hour with flying colors. I fasted and still failed I'm doomed. So what happens after your fail the 3 hour???

If you fail the 3 hour then you have gestational diabetes and will need to see an endocrinologist and monitor glucose levels either through diet or medicine, bit I wouldn't worry just yet. Many people fail 1 hr but pass the hr

Re: Failed my 1 hour with a question
The 1 hr is not a fasting test anyway. Your body should be able to handle the 50mg of glucose in 1 hour whether or not you ate that day. But regardless, if you fail that means you have gestational diabetes. It's better to get treated for it than to try to "trick" the test and put yourself and your baby at risk. They'll start you on a nutritional plan and if that still doesn't control GD then you'd be on meds as well.

Re: Failed my 1 hour with a question
I had to fast before my 1 hr and failed it and passed the 3 hr with flying colors so much so that my OB asked what did I do differently that the results of the 3 hr was so great

This is totally untrue. Failing the 1 hour does not mean you have GD.

Re: Failed my 1 hour with a question
I fasted before the 1 hr thinking I was doing good. It didn't help. I failed the 1 hr and passed the 3 hr. GL

Failed my 1 hour with a question
I fasted for both tests (as instructed by my OB) and failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. Try not to stress it!

I meant if she fails the 3 hour, too, then she has GD.
