Facebook question - do you let people know before posting a pic of them on your facebook page?
Okay am I the only one annoyed by this?
Wouldn't it be the right thing to do to let someone know you are posting a pic or pictures of them on facebook before actually posting it in your album or your wall?
How about if you don't like the pic they are posting of you?
opinions?
I personally would ask someone's permission before posting a pic of them on facebook or tag them. But I would ask them first!

I wouldn't post a pic unless it was a very close friend or family member & if that's the case I don't ask.
If they don't like the pic the can remove the tag
most of my friends are attention wh0res and love seeing pics of themself!
As for me, I don't care. If one of my FB friends likes a picture of me enough to post it, I take that as a compliment.

If I am at an event where I know the pic might be posted I always say no tagging please Then if I like it I will tag it.

None of my friends/family ever seem to mind.

I don't. I post a lot of pics and it wouldn't be possible. However, if someone ever asked me to remove a photo, I would. I also know a few people who HATE Facebook so I won't post pics of them.

i don't know of any of my friends that let people know beforehand when they post/tag pictures of them on FB - it sort of seems like a huge PIA to do that - and makes posting the pictures not really worth it (say you want to post pics of a party you were at, and you have to wait to hear responses back from people that it's ok for you to post pics of them.. it's a lot of work for just posting pics kwim?)
if someone posts a picture of me that i don't like, i just untag it. if it's really bad, then i'll ask the person to just remove it.
I have some friends that post any and all pics to FB whether its a good one or not.. so those i usually just untag because i don't want them on my page, but i dont really care if it comes up on their page.

I post a lot of pics and I used to tag people, but then people started untagging themselves and I figured "ok, so and so doesn't like it..."
One weird situation, a friend who came with is wife and DCs to DD's 1st b-day party untagged himself and wrote me a note saying, "sorry, I'm untagging myself, don't want a lot of pics up on FB, but can i have copies of the pictures you put up so we can make an album?"
Weird.
I don't care if someone tags me if I look good. Otherwise, i'll just untag it.

I have never asked anyone if I could post pictures of them. I am lazy and never tag so they have to tag themselves.
I always ask before I post a picture of a child for the first time, but after I get permission I will also post without asking the next time.
No one has asked me, I rarely untag.

eh, I don't usually ask permission first. I have pictures of me & my sisters & friends up there all the time, but none of them are 'bad'. I wouldn't put one up if I think they'd be embarrassed by it. But i figure that it's my page and if I'm in the photo too, then I have every right to have it up. If they don't like it then they can either un-tag themselves, or ask me to get rid of it (in which case I would definitely crop them out if at all possible).

I only ask if it is someone's child or someone who doesn't post on FB much. If they tend to post and tag, I don't think twice about it. But then again, my tagging has been limited to DH!

I HATE being tagged in photos, especially now that I am pregnant. I never tag anyone. I figure they can tag themselves if they like it.

I post pictures of events and everyone in my family or friends know already that it may/will be on facebook. I don't tag anyone though.

I only ask if it is someone's child.
Like if I go to a GTG with someone new, I tell them I put the pictures up and if they don't like a shot or don't want their kid up, they can message me and I will take it down.
But my friends know if I am taking pictures, they will go up on FB

I don't usually post pictures on FB but the rare times I have I do not tag people. Well in my wedding pics I tagegd my brother, mom,sil in a few but they were all nice pcitures.
I hate when I go on my FB to see a not so flattering picture of me 
I don't get mad per se just like "oh thats a terrible pic, I hope too many people didn't see it" and I untag myself

I post, but what I'll usually do is tag one pic in the album so they see that it exists, and then let them tage the rest if they choose to. If I don't like a picture, I'll just untag it.
