That is WAY too young for a baby that age. We didn't start with the exersaucer until my DD was sitting independently and had really strong neck control which was at 5-6 months old. I would not have put her in there before then, she would've been flopping around all over the place.

This is not true. The baby needs to have head control. Unless you are leaving a baby in there unattended, they are not going to flop around. The jumperoo, which is another stationary entertainer, is recommended for 3 months. Same concept as an exersaucer.

Both my kids loved their jumperoos, and exersaucers. Both were in by 3 months. Assisted, of course. It was a new thing, and something they could reach for, offered a lot of stimulation, etc. I would def try it!

Thank you. My DS is bored. He's bored with the vibrating chair, hated the swing, is bored in his high chair (I mean what can he do in that) but he does enjoy the play mat. I want him to not be on his back all the time. The only time not on his back is tummy time.

For what it's worth, I'd never leave my child unattended in any piece of equipment we purchase for him. My post was simply to get some ideas to buy for him, not to be told what I should and should not be doing with MY child. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

No no, I knew you didn't mean me. I was just addressing all the other posts lol. I felt like I was being scolded when I just asked for a rec.

Relax, nobody was scolding anybody. To each his own. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my 3 month old in the Excersaucer we had because the age range for it wasn't that young. If you find one that works for a baby so young, great. I felt more comfortable using it once DD had stronger neck and back control.
