Everyone should have a site like this...
Can I just tell you girls I went for my first official "Childbirth" class last night and people are CLUELESS!!!!
One couple had never heard of SIDS.
The other never read Baby Bargains or heard of that so they were registering for all of this ridiculous stuff they didn't need.
Mostly they were a bunch of clueless preggos and dads to be. I was like the class nerd because I knew all the answers.
And I chalk it up to having this board to rely on and all these knowledgable moms and moms to be.
We should be very grateful that we have such a source of information and support.

This site and board really has been the biggest help. It has really been a huge help along the way.
It's nice to have people to turn to with questions, fears, to vent and to laugh.

Seriously though, I didn't mean it like that...those were just two examples of things that WE talk about all the time on these boards that I guess if you are doing this "alone" you don't get the benefit of seeing or learning about.

WOW. I can't believe that someone never heard of SIDS.
FYI--I looked up Baby Bargains online and learned that a new edition will come out in April. I think I saw that info on Amazon.com.

I'm very happy to have this site and all of you ladies to share this experience with. It's actually pretty scary to know some people don't know anything about babies...especially when they're about to have one! Thank goodness for LIF!
