Everyone hates the name DH and I picked...
for our  I refuse to change it because we have both grown attatched to the name, but I hate that everyone looks at me like I have 7 heads when I mention the name.

Exactly....who cares what other people think. As long as you like it, that's all that matters.
I told my MIL my name ideas and she hated the boys name. It made me like it even more.

Yeah I have to hear the same BS, my mom doesn't like the names we picked out, and is always trying to give me new names that she likes.....I'm like ok but its not your kid--lol
I've told some of my other family members and friends the names and they love them, so its really only up to you and your DH to love the names, no one else!

Then don't tell anyone the name. People won't be as eager to give their opinions after your baby is born. All that matters is that you and DH like it!

I think it's a beautiful name.
I have decided to stop telling people, or only tell them after a disclaimer regarding their unsollicited opinions.
Ours is WAAAAAY weirder- everyone gives us this   
whatever- it's our child, and I tell them that they can be sure to tell the kid that they love him less because they didn't pick his name.

Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't tell anyone anymore.
I would just say, we are undecided.
And don't say anything until the baby is born.
Honestly, it is your choice and don't let anyone ruin it for you
AND definitely do not change it - cause the name is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

My sister had the same problem last year when she was pg...every name she said she liked SOMEONE would say "oh, I know someone I don't like with that name.." it made her so crazy that she ended up not telling anybody the names she picked until after the baby came. because then it didn't matter!

Don't change it! I just went through this with my MIL yesterday. I told her the name for a girl 'if it's a girl adn she shot me down saying how she didn't like it and everyone would make fun of her... Whatever! I love the name and so does my daughter and DH. I say STICK with it!

Everyone told us to stop joking around when we chose Roman. I wouldn't let it bother you, everyone has their opinion it's yours that matters.
