With cats you just have to let them be...he'll come around. One of mine was like that for his first year. Now he cannot get enough affection!

I agree with just letting them be. Did you just recently get this cat. If so then he just may need time to adjust to it's new home and owners.

DH always tells me that cats are affectionate animals always looking for a little love and affection. Maybe you just need to give it more time.

He's actually about 9 months old and we've had him since he's about 2 months old. He shows more affection when he wants to play or when he wants me to wake up. And also doesn't like to be picked up!

Now we're moving out of state AHHH

Our Ralphie has discovered how to hit the door knob when he wants us to come out of our room....LOL He'll climb all the way to the top of the couch and hit the knob with his paw as a way of telling us he wants to play. Problem is he does it at night when it's bedtime...LOL!!!
