Epcot Early Breakfast

We have an 8am ADR at Garden Grill - im assuming we will be done eating before 9am when the park opens - do they let you walk around and get in line? or do the CMs hold you some where? I am trying to figure out if we should head towards Test Track or Frozen (not going on Soarin) - depending on where we'd be allowed to wait for park opening??

Also anyone know if they have Photopass photographers at the Garden grill ?

You will probably not be done eating before 9. It's a sit down meal with characters that come around to the tables. You will be waiting for your table, for the food to be delivered and the characters to make an appearance.

I would say to budget at least 90 minutes for the meal.

There are photopass photographers there snapping pictures of the character interactions.

we have an 8AM reservation there, too in August Chat Icon we loved our dinner there last year! i don't remember it being a long meal... its a pretty small restaurant, we were there maybe an hour? and saw all of the characters come by twice. so i would say you should be done by 8:45/8:50. its "family style" so they just bring you the food to your table. you don't have to look at the menu, wait for them to take your order or all of that. they take your drink order, then bring you those and your food at almost the same time.
i'm pretty sure they start letting people in the front gates of the park a little before 9. so after you eat, you should be able to walk right to TT or Frozen.... you should be ahead of the game a little bit, no matter what!
I LOVE pre-park opening breakfasts for this reason! we did 2 last year-- and its just so awesome to already be in the park when it opens, and helps you kind of stay ahead of the crowd the rest of the day. we're doing 2 brekfasts again this year, too Chat Icon

I was there the first week of May and there were no photopass photogs. My reservation was later, around 10am, so maybe they are there earlier.

Re: Epcot Early Breakfast

dumb question but if you make a reservation for a restaurant within a park, I'm assuming you have to show tickets for the park when you enter?

Yes - they scan your tickets and check your name off a list.

when we ate there for dinner last year, there weren't any photopass photographers there. i don't think there are any at any of the character meals... but there are character handlers that you can hand your camera or phone to...

The world showcase open later than the rest of the park so I'd check if that means the rides there ( where frozen is) open later too. If that was the case I'd make my first stop test track

I read that mexico and norway were opening early due to the popularity of FEA. I also read that people were able to ride both frozen and test track before official opening time with an early ADR.

Re: Epcot Early Breakfast

I would go straight to the Frozen line after breakfast. I read the line gets insane.

Also, please note that if park open time is 9am, they let guests in around 8:45. You should also check if it is an early magic hour day. If it is an 8am early magic hour day, I am sure there will be a 1-2 hour wait by the time you get to Norway at 9:15.

Last time we went to MK, the mine ride was still super popular. We got there for EMH and by 8:30, DH and DS got in line, there was already a 45 min wait. By the time it was 9am, there was already a 60 min wait and I know the Frozen ride is much higher in demand.
