Eden Resort vs. Other Hotels near DW
We are looking to go to Dutch Wonderland in July and have been pricing hotels.
I really like Eden Resort but its kinda pricey.
Can anyone give me input on Eden and any of the other hotels in the area?

There are some dates left for the $99 rate. I just saw them a few minutes ago. The week of the 4th of July and a few others

I followed the rec's of ladies here and booked Eden Resort for August. It looks like such a great place. I am so not a hotel fan, but looking forward to this one.

We've stayed all over that area- couple nice Marriotts, but we stayed at the Eden this last time and I will never stay anywhere else. The pool/kiddie area is amazing, free ice cream, and it was just so so nice- I felt like I was on a caribbean island

We stayed there last year and absolutely loved it! We are trying Eden this year, but I would totally recommend the Fulton Steamboat Inn.

It's on their website. There is something that comes up on the home page that says summer specials. click on that
Try this
http://www.edenresort.com/specials-and-packages/specials-calendar
July 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th are all $99 a night. I just priced it out

One thing we wish we knew about eden is that there are no tubs, only showers in most rooms.

We just came back and all of our four rooms/villas had tubs.

Re: Eden Resort vs. Other Hotels near DW
Hi Nicole!!!
We went last year to DW and Eden was booked. So I stayed at Comfort Suites Amish Country. Its pool was lack luster only indoors, small nothing special. They included breakfast (great thing with the kids!) and it was a full breakfast with waffles, cereal, eggs etc. The rooms were a good size. They even had fresh cookies and coffee available at the front desk. It was close to everything and the price was great!
This May we went again and did Eden. The outdoor pool and sprinkler area are really nice. The hotel is gorgeous, from our window we watched a wedding! The rooms IMO are alittle small, our room had a tub, but the bathroom had almost NO counter space (the coffee pot was in the bathroom)
If you plan on spending alot of time at the hotel, to use the amenities, its well worth it. However if you are really planning on being on the go with DW, Hands on house, Cherry Crest Farms etc then I would go for less $$. DW has a water park area. Last year we in no way missed having the great pool and such and we went in August. This year we went in May didnt do DW, just went for a quick getaway and we really utilized the pool areas but we got Eden at a much lower price because it was before Memorial day!

Re: Eden Resort vs. Other Hotels near DW
We just got back yesterday! Eden Resort was fantastic. Last time we went we stayed at a Country Inn and Suites a little further away - not the one across the street from DW..but I don't rem3ember exactly where. I think eden is worth the money as long as you plan to take advantage of the facilities.

We tried going to Eden last year, but it was booked the time we went. We ended up staying at the Country Inn, and swore next time we go we will be going to Eden looks like so much fun.

Re: Eden Resort vs. Other Hotels near DW
We recently stayed at Eden and loved it. My 2.5 year old DS had a blast at the sprinkler park/playground area. If you plan on using the amenities, I 100% recommend staying at Eden. We booked the 2 room villa (which did have a tub and double sink), which was great because DS and DD had a separate sleeping area so DH and I didn't have to skulk around being all quiet after they went to bed at night.

Re: Eden Resort vs. Other Hotels near DW
We also just got back yesterday. Originally we had a King room with no tub, but I got switched to a double queen off the indoor pool with a tub. You have to ask. They also have bed rails for the little ones!!! I found out too late for that.. It was my first time there, but we are going back. The playground isn't very toddler friendly but it was ok. The pools and sprinkler area were great for DS (2.5)

Comfort suites was great. Under a hundred a night, it's right up the block...we would go to dw in the morning then go back to the hotel for naps and go back to dw in the afternoon. Loved the breakfast! We would go back

Considering my oldest has been to an amusement park every year since he was 7m....NO! We took Chris to Hershey at 18m. And he loved it!
I think there is plenty for her to enjoy at that age. We also just took the boys to Lancaster last month....DS2 was 13m and loved Crayola Factory (although I wouldnt go out of my way at that age to go there, DS2 just enjoyed running around the place) and the hands on house. And I would think that age would be good for Cherry Crest Farms, and Kitchen Kettle Village, even Choo Choo Barn if you or your DH is interested.
