for whatever reason after I delivered DS about an hour late my parents and inlaws were allowed in the delivery room where I was recovering and they still had the placenta sitting in the giant petri dish right out in the open. My brother almost fainted when he walked in the room. And of course my DH kept joking with him "hey, want a steak" because that is kind of what it looked like. Gross 
 I kept saying that to my sister after she saw mine. The midwife asked if she wanted to feel it. She was like ummm PASS!
