East Northporters
On Larkfield, across from Best Yet they are putting up (rather they put up a new building).
To me it looks like a Walgreens..
Do you think that is what is going there?
Do we really need a Walgreen's when we have Eckerd's on one corner and CVS 2 traffic lights away?
Then need to put something good there..Like...hmm,,ummmm
Cheesecake Factory...LOL
I think its kind of silly if its a Walgreen's, do you agree?

My FIL told me it will be a Walgreens.
I don't understand how they can have an Eckerd's, CVS and Walgreens all within a few blocks
Do we have that many prescriptions in East Northport? 
ETA: I actually moved here from Plainview. All of the chain stores were making the traffic horrendous. JMO, but I erally wouldn't want anything that would attract more traffic to Larkfield.

I agree with you 100%! I think its ridiculous. Larkfield is already worse then the L.I.E.
The small (and I mean small) plus it that Walgreen's (most) are open 24/7..but honestly, I think Im sticking with CVS.

Yes, its supposed to be a walgreens. Yes I think its pretty stupid. I also heard that CVS is supposed to go where Barnes and Noble was on the corner of jericho and larkfield.
The whole commack/e npt. area is an area of excess.

Very nice. Dh's best friend used to live over in that area, until he married my cousin.
I grew up here, got married moved "out east" for 6 years and moved back.

And I was pretty upset when they closed the B&N. And now they are going to put a CVS?
But my husband and I were talking about how many more home depots do we need. They are opening another one near Costco.....Why? Why not open a Lowe's for instance?

They are putting in a Home Depot & A Kohls over by Costco too.
Good News is I thing there putting a Cheese Cake Factory on 110 by the mall.

A lot of independent drug stores stay alive by carrying specialty meds that CVS, etc. don't and orthodic equipment. We went to Town Drug because the vet prescribed liquid prozac to our cat while moving. Town Drug has a partnership with him to carry such meds.
My MIL loves the $3 coupons we get in the mail... she has about 10,000 free bottles of hairspray from the coupons

The other independent drugstore is Rx Express......I actually prefer those smaller drugstores to get my prescriptions...there are less prone to errors.....

I heard that the home depot on Jericho was going to close and become a Lowe's. Over by Costco - its going to be a super Home Depot and also a Walmart.
I haven't heard about cheescake factory on 110, but did hear about one opening in the smithhaven mall (along with D I C K's sporting goods and B&N)

We were just in Lowe's on Monday and my husband was inquiring about this. They mentioned that they were going to open one in Bayshore and another in Farmingdale. They didn't mention this location. My husband for one thing will be very happy about this since he likes Lowes better(if the home depot in Jericho becomes Lowes)....they are more organized, better selections, and more helpful. I will call him and tell him. He will be happy.

I don't think the East Northport/Commack HD is changing to Lowes, if anything HD has been trying to move right down the road *across from sears mall/ best buy* There is a big open lot back there.
The Smithtown HD opened to help releave some of the Commack traffic.
I wish a Lowes would open up closer!!!!!

My BIL is a manager at cheesecake factory and the new one is opening at Smithaven mall in Lake Grove, not on 110.
