early bleeding - Update

I am almost 8 weeks pregnant. When I used the bathroom earlier, I saw a little bit of light red blood. Of course I freaked!! Called my Dr and they squeezed me it for an appt in an hr. I am still spotting. It changes from light red to brown, and I have a little bit of cramping. My 1st appt was supposed to be Friday.

Has anyone had light bleeding and everything turned out ok? Please send prayers that the baby is ok!! I will update after my appt.

Update: The Dr couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. I should have been 8 weeks but the baby was only measuring 6 1/2. The bleeding got heavier over the night, and I am pretty sure that I miscarried this morning. What an awful experience! Thank you for all the help and support. Hope to be back on this board soon!

Yes I had light bleeding on and off from about week 4 to week 10. I never had bleeding in my other two pregnancies. The dr said it was normal and he was only concerned if I had abdominal pain and soaked 1 pad in an hour. Hope everything goes well!!

i had more then light bleeding (i woke up in the middle of the night pajamas and sheets covered in bright red blood) and am currently 25 weeks pregnant

yes, i had heavy bleeding, bright red blood for 4 weeks non stop. Every Dr i went to told me the baby was fine. i didn't have a sub. hematoma and couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from. DD will be 1 this Saturday ;0)

I had spotting with both of my pregnancies and all was fine. I had a little light spotting one day with this pregnancy as well. If it is brown it's usually old blood. Spotting can be considered normal in early pregnancy.

Good luck! I'm 7.3 and had tan spotting yesterday night/this morning. Went to re this morning for a prog check and they did a Sono. I got to hear the heartbeat :) and baby appeared fine. Cervix was closed, and she cleaned out some of the old blood. I'm still a little nervous but she said everything looked fine. In 33% of all healthy pregnancies there is spotting. After two m/c I'm a wreck, but trying not to be. I see my obgyn tomorrow.

I had bleeding at 12 weeks and everything has been fine since. I'm due on the 21st.

I had early bleeding with all three of my pregnancies and everything turned out fine. Try not to freak out to much. If your not having bad cramps and it's just spotting everything should be fine.

I had bleeding at 7 weeks.. and everything was fine, I'm 25 weeks now. And there was actually small clots and bright red blood. I was convinced I miscarried.

I had a subchorinic hematoma and had staining around eight weeks. It only lasted a couple of days.
