Ear plugs for kids with tubes?
My dd had tubes put in yesterday and I picked up child sized wax ear plugs. They keep falling out. Are there any good plugs out there? My dd is 17 months.

Yes I got some specific for her.. at the ENT - based on the size of her ear
AJ was 17m when she got her tubes.. she wore XS but they came in XXS as well. She wore them about 6months before we stopped using them.

Did the ent advise you to get the ear plugs. Ours said not to put ear plugs in.

yes Ent said no water in the ears at all. They said to use cotton for the tub but my dd puts her whole face in the water so cotton won't work.

i got the fitted ones for my son that are made from a mold
they were $100 but we have had them for a year - he got them at 17months
once he got use to them he keeps them in - but i had to be strict with him int he beginning because he would take them out - any time he took them out he got taken out of the bath or pool which is punishment to him and could not go back in till he put them in
my son will get an ear infecton if he gets water in his ear

Just wanted to add.. mine were $15 for the pair. ENT had some generic ones that he cleaned and tried each set on until he found one that fit her then we bought those. We paid and received them there at the ENT's.

Same here. Our ENT said only use earplugs when he's swimming a couple of feet underwater (which he hasn't yet). He's had his tubes since about 16 months.

We had them custom made at the ENT. I believe it was $30.

We have to do that to. If he takes the ear plugs out he has to come out of the tub.

Thanks ladies I ordered the doc proplugs hopefully they work better than the wax ones!
