Re: Dumb question about powder formula....

Some people do. Some people use bottled water, some plain tap.

I use water from a brita filter.

my dr told me not to use the nursery water because it gives them too much flouride and it gets stored in their body which isnt good supposedly. i just use regular bottled water.

hmmm - i'll add to my list to speak to the doc about it - i use it because my brothers used it for his child (she's 6 months now and on tap water) - and it was cleared with their doc - so i never though to ask....

thanks!

Re: Dumb question about powder formula....

I just started giving DD formula, but I honestly never thought to use special water. I use straight tap water.

i dunno - maybe. he lives in queens... that's why they used nursery water at first and THEN switched to tap....

i'm definitely mentioning it to the doc when we see him next week!

No. I use tap water that's been run through a Brita pitcher. Ped said there is no reason to boil it.

I boil tap water and fill up the bottles on the counter and just let them sit at room temp till we need them.

This is what I do. I just leave the brita on the counter so it's always at room temp.

Re: Dumb question about powder formula....

when we lived in NC I boiled tap water. the tap water there tasted off otherwise.

Here in NY I give him straight tap water. No complaints from DS he still chows like a madman.
