DS weaning off bf at 4 months?
So DS is 4 months old. During the past few days in this heat DS has not wanted to bf. I figured it was due to the heat. It was very uncomfortable and sticky. So I tried again this morning now that its cooler and it's almost like he blows my nipple out of his mouth. The milk is there ready to go but he won't drink. It's not because he isn't hungry because he will inhale a bottle right after. He also started eating oatmeal last week. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I figure I'll just pump throughout the summer as much as I can and then maybe just go exclusively to formula which I supplement now.
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
TIA

My DS did this at around 4 months too but it only lasted a few days. Hopefully thiis is just a phase for your DS as well.

Re: DS weaning off bf at 4 months?
Sounds like it could be a nursing strike. I had a few of these with DS. The first one I believe was at 4 months. It was hard not to break down and offer the bottle, but I had heard that offering the bottle could prolong the strike.
ETA:DS went on several nursing strikes during the year that we BF. It was so difficult I was told the best thing to do is to hang out without a shirt on and let him decide when it's time to nurse, do a lot of skin to skin, try nursing him in a different position. Maybe he is teething and it hurts him to lie down, or maybe he has an ear infection? Have you changed your diet recently, maybe ate something different? Just throwing these things out there, sometimes there really isn't a clear reason other than a nursing strike. It will end, and he will nurse again! Sometimes you just have to wait it out

Thanks guys. I know he is teething so hopefully thats it. I tried again this morning and he just laughs and blows it out of his mouth. I guess I'll keep trying and pumping
