Dr. said there "might" be a final sonogram at 30 weeks.. what does that mean?

What determines whether or not you need the sonogram at 30 weeks? So far, everything has looked good, I'm just anxious to see lil' baby girl again!

It's probably a growth sono to measure the baby.
I had one at 31 weeks and that was it. She came 6 weeks later

My doctor does the last sonogram only if he thinks the baby is too big or too small.

So, based on weight gain, and feeling around in there - they can decide if you need one.

Which, is still pointless b/c they are wrong all the time anyway

I was told I'd have one at 30 weeks too- just to check growth.

But then I started having BP issues and now I have one every 3 weeks to make sure she is doing well in there.

But without issues my Dr would have done one around 30-32 weeks she said.

My OB did a growth sono for me at about 32 weeks with my 1st and is doing one at almost 31 weeks with this one. They just like to see how everything is progressing and how big the baby is measuring.
