Re: dr. rosenfeld
I don't know who that is but I can tell you that for your first appointment, there will be consultation with your RE to go over the reason why you are there. He/She will also go over your medical history, DH's medical history. After that, there will be a ultrasound. After that, I met with the IVF/IUI coordinator to talk about the possibilities and briefly went over both procedures. We also met with the Financial advisor to go over what's covered/not covered under my insurance. My first appointment took about 2.5 to 3 hours all together. I was given a script for HSG, bloodwork for DH and I for ruling out any diseases or STDs. Then I was advised to come back on the second day of my menstrual cycle to do my baseline bloodwork. DH had to wait for his bloodwork to come back before they allowed him for a semen analysis. Hope that helps. Every RE clinic is different so the order may be different than what you'll encounter but the general idea is the same! Good luck!

Re: dr. rosenfeld
I used him to get PG with both Abby and the one I am carrying now. I loved him while I know others do not. He is straight forward, doesn't pull any punches and surely does NOT make any promises. I found him to be an excellent diagnostician. He did not pump me full of medications unnecessarily. He allowed me to be patient with process and here I am PG with #2. If you have any questions, PLEASE FM me.

Re: dr. rosenfeld
I agree with the PP. I had a great experience with Dr Rosenfeld but he's not for everyone. He's old school (charting, post coital) and I found him to move at a less agressive pace than other Dr's I've been with at NSUH. He's very honest and very gentle with all the testings (HSG, etc)
He performed an emergency ectopic surgery on me and I felt very safe with him. I've since moved onto IVF within the group and therefore don't see Dr R anymore.
Best of luck to you - you're in good hands!

Re: dr. rosenfeld
I agree with the above two posts. I also went to him, as well as my sister and we were successful with him. Dr. Rosenfeld is old school style and his motto is "slow and steady wins the race" he presents the facts and your options and will go from there, my husband I and always listened and followed his suggestions.
I had my HCG and a laprosygy w/ him and then he also did my two IUIs with injectable medicine. Currently 29 weeks preg wiith
Good luck and feel free to FM .
I also had seen Dr Chu and wasn't crazy about her, she's more hyper and was trying to sell IVF to my husband and I.

Same here I met with him once and I found him very nice and patient. He told me the same thing "slow and steady" I agree Dr Chu for me wasnt a good match. but everyone there is really nice.

Re: dr. rosenfeld
I originally started with him and got pregnant my first IUI with no meds, but then miscarried at 8 weeks. I did 2 more IUI's, and nothing, then moved onto IVF, which I was sad to learn he doesn't have anything to do with them! I saw the other doctors and had no problems with any of them. The nurses are great also! I did one round of IVF and it worked, currently 25 and a half weeks preggers with Good luck! Be patient with Rosenfeld, he's a great doc!

Re: dr. rosenfeld
I do think he is a really good Dr. However, he did not do all the tests on me that my current RE did. He did not get to the bottom of any of my issues, rather, simply told me there was nothing wrong w/ me except my age and to keep trying naturally. We kept trying and went back in 6 months. 2 failed IUI's he still said nothing was wrong and wanted me to move to IVF. I felt that he gave up, and especially felt that he did not take the time to really figure out why I wasn't conceiving again or why I wasn't holding the pregnancy.
That was just my expierence though, and I'm happy I moved on. I feel like I wasted a year of trying going to him. Best of luck to you, I hope he works better for you!!!!
