Does this sound like Roseola? Help!

DS had a fever for about 2 1/2 days. It spiked at 104.4 but was mostly between 101 and 102. He has been tired, super cranky and has had little to no appetite. Slight congestion, today his nose is runny. Today his temp only rose to 99.5 at the highest and since last night he has about 6 tiny red bumps above/below his lips. One or two of them seem a little worse tonight. I called the doc and he said it's prob roseola and he may end up with a rash on his chest, not to worry. After his bath tonight I noticed a rash on his leg. Does the location of the rash matter? I had thought he might have coxsackie cuz he was crying out after every sip of water yesterday but doc insists there was nothing in his mouth (when I took him Tueday), which I can't see anything either. They also told me that he isn't contagious once he is fever free for 24 hours (which he already is). Any insight from BTDT moms?

When DD had roseola, she had a rash everywhere - cheeks, chest, neck, and down through her diaper area. Google pictures of coxsackie and roseola, and then call your ped to have him checked out, just to make sure.

My DD had it over the summer. The rash came after the fever was completely gone, and it was all over her face, back, chest and stomach. You couldn't miss it!
