Does anyone use Tide on their infant clothes?
I was using Dreft and ran out. Is it really necessary? I thought the Dreft was supposed to be more sensitive but yet it has a fragrance

I use Tide Free and Clear. I never used Dreft

I used dreft for about the first 6-9 months and then I used tide. I have heard of allergies to it but my dd was fine.

I've never used Dreft either. I use Tide Free & Clear for everything in our house & so far, so good!

I don't think it is absolutely necessary if your children are not newborns and do not have sensitive skin and/or allergies. JMO. I usually use Tide free and clear but have used Tide for my DD's clothes while visiting my parents in FL for two weeks.

I used dreft for the fist month. After that I use the Trader Joe's brand. It's the BEST!!! It's a powder. You get so many loads out of it and it's really cheap.

I've used Tide Free and Clear since he was born. I tried Dreft when someone gave me some, but it made my DS's skin break out, so I went back to the Tide.

I only used the Dreft until I ran out of that ginormous thing .....then I used plain old Tide.

I used 2 bottles of Dreft and moved on to Kirkland detergent.

I went through two bottles of All Free & Clear before I started washing Ann's stuff in the same detergent I use for everything else.

I use mostly All or Tide Free but sometimes I'll throw some of his stuff in with ours and with that I usually use regular.

We have an HE machine too so I picked up the Tide Free and Clear HE. The Dreft was killing my machine because they dont have HE detergent so it was getting too soapy.

We continued with the dreft since the ped told me that some regular detergents are too harsh and can remove the fire retardancy that is put on infant clothing. They recommended using it for the first year.
I'm not sure if the tide free and clear would do the same thing.
Now I love the smell and still use it for my 3 y.o.'s stuff.
