Does anyone have a Prius?
We are considering getting a Prius and are wondering if there is room in the backseat to fit two adults in addition to a car seat? Is there room for the carseat in the middle or does it have to be on the passenger side? TIA

my brother and his wife have one and we saw them and discussed this exact thing on Saturday!
they said once they are in the car with the baby - there's not much room in the front seat...so Rachel (sil) tends to sit in the back with the baby. she CAN sit in the front - but is more comfortable in the back.
I don't think they could fit TWO adults in the back with the carseat, no. My brothers' exact quote was, 'once we're in there with her, it's quite the tight fit'.
They do have an 'older' model Prius...but i don't know that much has changed.

YES, there is room. But you have to choose your carseat wisely 
I just drove 3 people (+ me) in my car with my carseat.
We have the maxi cosi priori carseat (facing backwards still). It sits in the middle of the back seat. It leaves just enough room for 2 adults. (I wouldn't drive 2 hours like that, but for a 30 min ride, it's reasonably comfy)
If you get one of the larger britax models, I suspect it would be rather tight back there.

Hi,
I have a new Prius. I tried the car seat in the middle of the back but it slipped too much. So, we have it behind the passenger seat. Althought it would be tight, two petite adults can still fit next to the seat. (I've doen it). We had the Graco Snugride and now the Britax Roundabout.

I have a Prius too, but I don't have a carseat yet, so I was curious about this thanks....DH is tall, so if I drive, it would be a problem...but I'm a shorty, so I'm sure I would fit up front fine
We have an SUV too, I think the baby will be in the SUV the most...

I have the prius and just had the snugride installed, the guy told me it should be behind the passenger seat not the middle b/c of something with the seat I forget what exactly. I was able to fit back there with my friend but she is like 95 lbs... but I am 37 wks preggers so maybe thats almost equal to 2 normal sized adults.. ?
