Does anyone hav an OB who....
they have met with at almost every appt....my friend is 30weeks and she said she still has met the doctors in the practice..jsut nurse practiioners...jsut wondering if there are OB's out there that you actually see at all appts....Thanks

I ALWAYS saw a doc at all my appointments. I would be upset if I didn't.

So far I've seen my Dr. (Hanauer) at every appt. except my initial one at 5 weeks where they took blood and my history.

same here. the sono techs have different hours than my doc, so i go to the office on different days.

Where I go, the first PG appt (with all of the bloodwork etc.) is with a Nurse Practitioner and all of the subsequent appts are with a Dr.

I see my OB/GYN and specialist at every appt. I would not be a happy camper if I didn't.

WELL I WOULD MAKE AN APPT WITH MY DOC AND I WOULD GET A RESIDENT OR NURSE. WHEN MY DOC LEFT FOR HER OWN MATERNITY LEAVE THEY SCHEDULED ME WITH THE RESIDENT AGAIN AND I SAID I DIDN'T LIKE HER AND EVER SINCE I HAVE SEEN MY NEW DOC AT EVERY APPT!! AND I REALLY LIKE HER.

I always see my Dr. I wouldn't mind if it was once in a while that I had to see the nurse practicioner but not every appointment

hb (or did a sono) and answered all my questions.

I see a doctor at every appointment. There are 6 doctors in the practice so if mine is not available, I make an appointment with one that is.

I have the same one too. I didn't meet w/ her at the 16 week one but they had called to reschedule and I just asked to keep the appt. with the NP. Otherwise I have met with her every time. A trick I do is to book the appts. a couple of months in advance.

Saw the doc at every appt. except the first where all they did was draw blood and ask questions. I met with her partner at one other appt, so that if he were on call when I went into labor, it wouldnt' be the first time I met him.
