For sure. Aside from those I know on FB, most people on here are a mystery to me.
For the record, I am not a wild looking, animated, 25-year-old Eddie Vedder as my avatar would suggest.

Re: does anyone ever wonder who everyone is behind the post and
I also wonder if I have ever crossed paths with anyone on here. You know, have I seen you on line in a store, or in a Dr's waiting room or at a restaurant ?
Perhaps we live in the same neighborhood, on the same block and don't even know that we have "talked" here on LIFamilies !!!

I was on a different type of forum years ago that was international (so much less of a chance of knowing someone) we did a post your pic and identify yourself thread and it was mind blowing.
The ages, genders everything we're just so off from what everyone expected!

Yes this happened to me actually I met someone in a store we chatted then realized we were both on here then realized our children are in the same swim class!
I always wonder what certain posters look like.

Another forum I used to post to all the time (kinda stopped in the past couple of years) was international and music-centered...we did the same, a post your pic thread...everyone was surprised I was female.

I, too, sometimes wonder about others on here, but I like that. I have chosen not to be on Facebook, so do not have a page. I would not post a picture as I take what I think are terrible pictures nowadays, even though I used to model internationally. I am in my sixties, though told I look younger, and am tall and slim with straight blonde hair that hangs below my shoulders. I found this site years ago when looking for Long Island forums.

Re: does anyone ever wonder who everyone is behind the post and
I do wonder, especially about people who post frequently.
I wouldn't post a pic of myself because I don't want to "make my identity known," but I think the concept is cool.
