Try to bury stuff in the house??

As most of you know I have a Maltese.. she is 2 1/2 years old.. Every night I give myself shots for my pregnancy.. The shot comes in a plastic thingy.. For some reason she is obsessed with this plastic holder.. She will not let me throw it out and she sits and waits for me to give it to her.. if i dont she will bark or just sit there obsessing until i feel bad and let her have it..

Ok now she gets the plastic thingy and walks around the house for about 45 mnutes with it in here mouth She doesnt eat it chew it or anything she just walks around looking for a place to bury it.. Finally she will put it on the rug and start pushing the rug with her nose for a good 10 minutes.. Now whats happening is the rug isnt dirt so she is givivng her nose rug burn.. She has blood all over her face and her nose is all rubbed off.. Its RAW and bleeding.. I know I shouldnt give it to her and I am trying to give her other things but i just have to know if anyone else's dog does this??????

That is so cute! My maltese does not do that, however he does a lot of other strange things, like beats up his dog bed.

Our dog ---Milo, a long hair chihuahua---does this as well. He doesn't do it until his nose bleeds but sometimes when we give him treats, or he is eating his dinner, or he steals one of our socks or a q-tip from the garbage, I will find it later hidden in the corner of his crate, in his bed, in our guest bed tucked under one of the pillows or hidden in the corner of our basement couch. Forget it if I leave blanket out, he will always hide something in the blanket and I have seen him use his nose to try and "cover" whatever it is up. It is actually really cute and funny to watch him do this.
I have quickly learned to shake out all blankets and bedding before I wash anything in the washer machine! And when I vacuum, I always make sure to get into all the cracks and corners of the couch!

My dog does this with her food kibbles for some odd reason. Buries it under her blankets in her bed, but only to eat it like 1 minute later! Weird things these doggies do! I feel bad your doggie's nose bleeds! Poor babY!

OK so I took her to Petco last night and got cat toy's ? She loves cat toys.. There was rat there that I know she likes because she tried to steal it from my sisters house once.. Well she is doing the samething!!!! Its so strange??? This thing is worse because she will not take it out of her mouth at all.. She brought it into bed and now buried it under the blanket.. When I woke her up for breakfast thiss morning she immediately went and got it.. out of a dead sleep!!! So now she goes out and does her business with it in her mouth!! Now she has a whole toy box full of toys that we play with but not like this!! I think she is developing OCD!!

Brody buries things in the sofa. And he also pushes so hard with his nose that he scrapes the skin off! So when we give him a hard bone or rawhide, we take it away after awhile so he won't get crazy.

I let her out side today again with the rat in her mouth.. I went into Dh's car to get some stuff for my sister and lola came out with me.. It was about 5 minutes.. I went to go in the house and I asked my sister where Lola was?? So i see her behind the bush in the mudd burying her rat in the dirt.. YOU HAD TO SEE THIS DOGS FACE!!!! COVERD with mudd.. I am hysterical laughing while I am typing this.. Mudd all over her white gorgeous face.. I never saw her act like this ever!!! I am going to reserch this breed more to see if this is common for the Maltese.. She is sleeping with iit right next to her now on the floor under my desk.. She put it next to her food while she ate dinner and the minute she was done she picked it right back up and had it in her mouth for ever... There has to be another dog out there that does this??

hahahah my little tinkerbell does this as well! She does it mostly with treat though. She makes me laugh b/c she carrys it around forever moving it from spot to spot! lol then sometimes she tries to burry it like under me! I tell her that isn't a very secret spot! I think it's so cute when they do that!

One of my dogs does this. She just puts her toy/bone//treat/whatever in a "hiding place" (under the edge of the couch, next to the wall, in the crack between the wall and the bookcase...) and then rubs her nose over it like she's burying it. It's really funny to watch. She never does it to the point of hurting herself though.

so cute! My little yorkie does that. He is always burying his treats or toys under his favorite blankie!
