Does anyone elses dog do this?

Bite there nails??

Also start running around like a manic for about 2 minutes.. usually when she is playing and excited... ALWAYS after a walk.. The minute I open the door after a walk she bolts in the house and runs in circles all over the house?? I am afraid she is going to bang into my coffee table and get knocked out!

Murray does the crazy circle thing all of the time. He has run into the wall once and the dining room table a few times. I figure he'll learn to be more careful that way.

yea we call it crazy beast time. She runs from the living room to the kitchen about 6 times until she falls to the floor in exhaustion. The vet says she has extra energy she needs to get out so this is her way of doing it. She is FAST

when they are in all day, they got some built up energy they like to release.

they are having fun while running around like a maniac...

by the way, my dog does this too...

I thought it was because she has extra energy too but she does this after a long walk!!

Also she bites her nails!!

But I sware this dog can do no wrong!! Every little thing she does DH and I get such a kick out of.. Even just sitting there with her leg stuck out like a kick stand... She is my heart!

My dogs do laps around the dining room table and coffee table after we come in from their walk. We love it, it's hysterical! We even egg them on shouting "Go Puppy Go!" and they look at us, stop and run even faster. So cute.

Misty bites her back toenails, I never have to cut them. But she doesn't bother her front nails.

As far as the running in circles, Misty tends to do that outside. We call them the "zoomies", and she does it on the front lawn or in the park...full speed, low to the ground, crazy circles all over.

My new dog just started doing this and we laugh our @sses off. He "scampers" is the best way I can put it.

Usually it's the Nylabone that sets him off. I swear, that thing must be coated in crack.

The greatest is when he hits the hardwood floor and goes sliding all over the place. I actually cried laughing last night at him.

We have 2 older dogs who for the most part are minimally energetic..but when we come in from a walk they also go nuts for about 10 minutes... running in circles...one is throwing her toys around and chasing them, and one is up on her hind legs "dancing"..lol its funny to watch..I think the fresh air gives them a boost...



ohh eta..both of them lick and bite at their paws and nails from time to time...one dog has allergies and the other does not but I have heard that is a symptom of allergies...

Ollie does this after she does sprints on the front lawn. She'll come in panting, drink a little and then come back for more. I guess they don't get all their energy out on walks alone.

How does this not make you laugh!! right! Even if your having the worst day of your life this is medication!!

Mine don't bite their nails, but they do the crazy hyper running thing too. Usually it's right after we come home (whether it's from a walk, from a trip to the vet, wherever), but sometimes it's for no good reason at all!
