My mom is okay with it, she too cannot wrap her head around the not needing AOL to log on to the internet thing. She can send emails and do basic stuff.
My stepmom is great with it, does it all which brings me to my dad who knows nothing at all. He said that my stepmom got tickets to the Islander game the other day online, he couldnt believe she got the actual tickets from the computer (she printed them out!  )
My ILs have a computer and use email sometimes, they know the basic stuff.

My Mom can use it but still can't figure out downloads and attachments. Plus, if she doesn't use it for a week, I have to explain things all over again

Yep, all of them are... My step-dad is the most web-savy though... He has a pharmacy website with a newsletter, etc.

My dad is more internet saavy than my mother. My mother only uses it for work. My dad uses it to write email, download pictures to computer, view wine, insurance and travel webpages.
My ILs are so not Internet or computer saavy.

My mother absolutely does and is on all the time. My father has absolutely no clue whatsoever and doesn't even want to learn!

My Dad, Stepmother and Mom all do. My IL's don't even own a computer.

My Stepmom does & Stepdad did
My Dad I don't think EVER touches the computer
My IL's do not.

Not really - they know how to check their e-mail but don't get how to put on attachments. I taught them how to look up movies on moviefone too lol. I think that's about it.

Dad does - not sure how much Mom knows, but that's basically because her Rhuematoid Arthritis makes it nearly impossible for her to type with any ease, so if she needs to have something sent via e-mail she just dictates to Dad. Oh, and they are in their 70's.
I'm actually getting a chuckle out of this thread because knowing the ages of many of the posters here, many of your parents are probably younger than me And yes, I can do a lot more than just surf the web and send attachements!

My dad: Yes. He pretty much dealt with internet crimes while working for the DA's office. (He was using Bulletin Boards before there was an "internet".)
My mom: Yes, sort of.
MIL: Yes
FIL: Yes

both of my parents and dh's parents are computer savy. They both use it very often especially because my parents live in florida so email is a big part of our relationship.

my dad knows how -the basics, but doesn't go on the Internet ever really... my mom knows how and she does use it often
