Do your kids eat a lot?

My boys are not big eaters. They aren't big snackers either.
I notice when they have a playdate or we have their cousins over they can eat so much. These kids can eat and eat and not get full. I have no problem with it and notice a lot of kids are big snackers, but my boys won't even have half of what they eat. Not even a fraction.


Are my kids not the norm? LOL! We joke when we've watched my niece and nephew they're in the kitchen most of the time and eat. Then when the boys started having playdates they are the same with wanting food. Of course I always make sure we have food for everyone. Just funny that my kids won't ever ask.

My son who is about to be 3 eats all day long. Never seems full and is constantly asking for more food. My daughter who is 6 never eats. I have to force her to eat sometimes. I even threaten pediasure drinks because I worry she doesn't get enough nutrition.

My kids are not big esters at all. My 2yo does live for snacks and junk food which is a battle but neither of them eat a lot or ask to eat often. My 4yo would go all day without food if she's distracted. Forget it if there are other kids around, she just wants to play.

A lot? No. My kids could take 2 bites and be done. I wish they'd eat more!

God no. My DD eats enough food to keep a pigeon alive.
A few bites and she is "full".

She does love to snack though- and loves junk food. She takes after me with that part.

Yes, and she loves snacks healthy and junk. Her cousin's are the same way. My cousin's 2 year old will stand in front of my fridge or snack cabinet half the time she is here. She is the tiniest thing ever.

My kids always want to eat....until dinner. And I imagine it's because they're not all that hungry from eating 2 good meals plus snacks during the day.

My 3 year old daughter just had 2 whole grain waffles with cut up fruit and milk for breakfast. Less than an hour later she just asked me for a snack! I gave her half a banana. I can't imagine how she isn't full. I try to keep the snacks healthy. But seriously, these two would eat all day if I let them.

DS2 could snack all day if I let him. Most times he can eat his brother, who's 3.5 years older, under the table. DS1 will occasionally eat a big meal after a game or practice, but most times, he doesn't eat that much.

My 7 yo is the type that will eat dinner then ask for snacks for the next 2 hours. Thankfully the kid really likes fruit and pretzels.

My 3.5 year old doesn't really eat a lot except he loves sweets. My almost 2 year old is a much better eater. He doesnt eat a lot a lot but he eats better than my ds1.

I have friends who will talk about their children eating 2 slices of pizza and I am over here encouraging and praising for a half of a slice lol

I joke that my 6yo DD has the appetite of a teenage boy. Luckily she is the child who always opts for the healthy stuff so I'm fine with it. She is super active so I think her body just needs more fuel.

My kids are constantly eating and constantly asking for more food. They eat a ton. I feel like when I'm with them I'm either peeling oranges, slicing apples, opening yogurt containers, making sandwiches, heating up chicken, opening bags of goldfish, etc etc etc nonstop lol. I try to encourage them to drink water bc they might actually just be thirsty and I try to give them mostly healthy stuff.

My 2.5 year old is a grazer, but so are dh and I. None of us really sit for big meals, we just eat when we're hungry and stop when we're full.

my 5 year old is not a big eater at all. i can tell when he's having a growth spurt or something because his appetite will rev up for a few days and then go back down.

on the other hand, his younger brother could eat all day long if i let him. some days he does. and then at dinner, he shovels the food in like he hasn't eaten all day.

My 2 year old is a terrible eater. If I get one or two bites of real food a day I'm lucky. Im astonished at the amount of energy he has.

DS is 3 and is always eating. He would have just finished his meal and then he sees one of us eating and will ask for some of ours.

Sometimes they will eat two bites of something they insisted I make. Sometimes they will eat two plate fulls.

My DS sometimes eats nothing all day (a small bowl of cereal, squeeze pouch, yogurt, pasta) and then the next day eats EVERYTHING in sight!

my DS is 5 and eats 2 breakfasts (one at home and one at daycare) lunch, snack, snack, dinner, snack. That is the weekday schedule. Weekends its all day long.

I never say no to food for him. His is only 38lbs so clearly he is burning it all off.

My 4yo DD is the most insane eater ever. Since she was a baby everything went in her mouth, I felt like she was exploring the world through her mouth. She loves to eat and doesn't discriminate with food, there are times she eats more than an adult and times I have to cut her off.

I try to set times to eat and make her wait so she can experience "hungry". However she's an amazing eater and loves to try new things. I was eating sushi the other night while she had veggie and shrimp udon noodles and she sampled both of my rolls and individual piece of sushi.

She doesn't get candy or any sort of bad snacks, poor thing was eating cherry tomatoes out of her snackeez at the gym the other day lol!

Older one -5 would eat all day long if i left her-- always always always asking for snacks-- (eats healthy and junk alike). Little one is 2-- she takes two bites and is full.. cant even always convince her to have a cupcake or a piece of chocolate-- she is generally uninterested
