Do your hips go back?
I was completely prepared to accept that I will have weight to loose after pregnancy. But I was not expecting my hips to be this much wider! My pre pregnancy pants stop at the hips and won't budge. Is this my new hip size or will they go back? Do those products work to shrink them?

I'm in the same boat. I've lost most of the weight, but my hips have a mind of their own. I tried Shrinxx hips, but it says it only works in the first 8 wks post-delivery. I can't imagine keeping these huge things (my hips) for the rest of my life.

they go back...i dont remember how long it took but my hips are back to the size/way they were before baby. DD is almost 2, it didnt' just happen but i can't remember when it happened...one day pants just fit right again....

Sorry mine never did!
I remember I was getting ready to go back to work after my DS birth and I pulled my old work pants out...same size, would not fit over my hips. 3 years later (before I got pg again) still the same.

Mine did..But it took 3 years... My feet on the other hand haven't gone back to pre-pregnancy size...

Yes but add me to the list of those not happy with the belly.
It went down, all my clothes fit pretty fast, etc- but I feel like the skin is just not as tight.

I don't think they will.
I am 8 month PP now, and I lost all of the baby weight by 3 months PP. I haven't worked out really, but all the weight is gone and I eat well and am physically active.
My body IS NOT the same since giving birth and I don't think it ever will be. So many changes and my whole body shape has changed and shifted. And I just feel worse. People tell me that's just the way it is after having babies. I guess some people jump back and some people don't.

My best friend gained 20lbs and lost it all within like 3 weeks. However her hips were wider and it took her 2 years to get back into her old jeans. I think sometimes it just takes time.

I didn't have a problem with my hips nor belly. Within 8 weeks PP, I was back to my normal close. However my thighs are a different story. I honestly don' think they will ever go back to normal.

mine went back and I think a little smaller - it took over a year but I now where a size smaller then I did before kids and I did it just chasing 3 little boys

Your body is just not the same, I am exactly the same weight & size as I was before I had DD 5.5 yrs ago. I went back to my regular weight and size 1-2 months after both pregnancies , but jeans I owned right before I had my DD still don't fit me to this day. Few are just way too tight and few won't even go past my hips (and I don't even have hips )
I used to know exactly what brand and what size jeans to buy without having to try them on, now I have to try them on no matter the brand because they don't fit the same. Some I need in size 0 , some in 1 and some in 2 .
Everything I owned before having DS fits me exactly the same, so my body shape changed after the first pregnancy and I just never went back to my original shape.
I think your bones expend and they just never fully go back to it's PP size, especially after the first pregnancy.

I'm 5months PP. I weigh less than I did before I had the baby, but my jeans still don't fit the same way. In some brands I have to go up a size, some brands I'm the same size. My hips def. got wider.

Mine did. I didn't think they would because I had lost all the weight but my hips were still wider. But they went back, I want to say sometime last summer, so she was maybe 9-10 months old?
I am happier with my body now than I was pre-baby - well, with the (major) exception of the soggy tummy, lol.

physically my hips and pelvic area are not the same. im in so much pain everyday. it hurts to get up and walk sometimes. i really need to go see a doctor. my dd is 9 months. i feel like im 90 and im not even 30 yet !!!

I'm 4months pp and still have 10-15lbs of baby weight to loose. I can fit pp shirts; but the pants are hard. My hips definitely spread and haven't gone back yet!

Mine are starting to go back 8 months PP. I went on weight watchers to help lose the weight though and thats when my hips started to go back. I finally fit into a pair of pre pregnancy jeans comfortably, although my belly is still gross but i am about to start working out again.
