I didn't get a lot of gifts since it's just my 8 month old. Should I set up all the toys or just one?

Do you wrap all gifts?

Last year DS was 14 months, I set up one toy and wrapped the rest because I gave him a new toy sparatically so he wasn't overwhelmed with all the newness and I bought him some toys that were "older". This year I am only setting up his Easel they rest will be wrapped

Re: Do you wrap all gifts?

Nope this Santa does not wrap! Santa's gift in the sack are never wrapped! I grew up that way and loved it and my kids love it now and it's soon much easier!

I don't wrap!! Everything goes in Santa sacks unwrapped! If it's large, it just sits out. I used to wrap, but it was such a waste of paper, and gifts were accidentally being tossed out with the paper!

We have a few more sacks than these...this was last year when I was hiding out in the basement filling them LOL. These are pretty big, and hold quite a few presents (almost 30" tall)

I wrap everything except for really big gifts like the play kitchen or vanity. Those I have set up and ready to be played with on Xmas morning.

Do you wrap all gifts?

My husband and I go back and forth on this. Growing up my Santa did not wrap gifts; DH's Santa did. Since he won't help wrap any, I do a few to please him. It's too much on top of everything else that has to get done for the holidays.

Re: Do you wrap all gifts?

The BEST part of Xmas is the unwrapping!!!! That was my favorite as a kid!! Wondering what was in every box, tearing open the paper to find out!! I love watching my kids open everything.............plus it makes Xmas morning last longer. If everything is just sitting there unwrapped they would see it all at once and just go play. Where is the fun in that? Unwrapping makes the morning last, I like to savor every minute!! Chat Icon

I'm wrapping everything. I'm positive DD will like the wrapping paper more than the toys.

Santa does not wrap. He sets up the toys that need assembly and the things that come from Mommy and Daddy are wrapped.

Do you wrap all gifts?

I hate wrapping. So like others said, the things that need assembly are assembled and the rest are wrapped but for DS last year, we put all of his little gifts into one big box and wrapped it.

Ditto. But they'll still get a bow. Sometimes even those XL gift bags for bikes and things.

DD is also 8 months and I'm wrapping everything but I'm a crazy person.

ETA: All my gifts were wrapped growing up. Coming down the stairs on Christmas morning and seeing them all wrapped up is STILL my favorite part of Christmas and giving that feeling to my kids is one of the things I looked forward to most about being a parent at Christmas.
