Do you throw away Christmas cards...
after the holidays are over?
We are taking our decorations down today and DH thinks we should keep them! I think we have too much stuff already and need to throw them away!

The only cards I DO keep are the ones that DH gives me on our anniversary.

I throw away most of them. I keep the picture ones and put them with my holiday stuff so I can see how the kids have grown since the past year. Once I have looked at the old compared to the new, I dispose of the old one. We already have so much christmas clutter

Yup, thew them out yesterday.
DH (reading over my shoulder) wants to know if "DH" stands for designated hitter. I told him yes. This is really a fan baseball site in disguise!

yup! just too much clutter if i held on to every single Christmas, bday, thank you card we ever got. the only cards we keep are the cards we give to each other. i could honestly care less about the other cards we get.

I save the picture ones in an album. I save pieces of the regular cards if they have something that might be useful in scrapbooking otherwise I throw them out.

Yeah, its always nice to think about saving them....and I used to, but then I realized I never ever look at them and they sit and collect more dust and take up more room. I guess I thought I was more sentimental than I really am!

That's actually a good idea!
I used to keep them but then I realized that I NEVER went back and looked at them.
And space is at a premium as it is in my house- so now they go!

I'm terrible...i save all the cards i get for everything. I really have to start getting rid of some, but i've been doing this since HS, so there are a lot. Some are still meaningful, but some are from people I haven't spoken to in years, so it's time to get rid of them. I just need to narrow it down to the ones that are important to me.
