Do you send DC to daycare with snacks?
If so, how old is DC and what kind of snacks do you send?

Re: Do you send DC to daycare with snacks?
MY DS is no longer in DC, but as soon as he was old enough for snacks I sent my own most of the time. I didn't really think their options were as healthy as they could have been. My DS always loved fruit so I would send grapes or apples or pears all cut up and ready to eat sometimes cereal bars or yougurt or whatever....graham crackers.

I did when he was younger (10-12 months?) and had a milk allergy - puffs, cheerios, dried fruit pieces, etc.

Re: Do you send DC to daycare with snacks?
Yes! We have to provide all of our own food at this daycare. DD is 19 months.
I usually send a morning snack (banana, puffs, yogurt, etc). Lunch and an afternoon snack (goldfish, animal crackers, graham crackers, etc).
I feed DD breakfast before I drop her off...but as soon as we get there and she see's other kids eating, she wants to eat something too, which is why I send a morning snack.
My DD is tiny...but eats ALL THE TIME!

Re: Do you send DC to daycare with snacks?
I send all of DS food. The teacher gives me the menu every Friday so I can provide my version of whatever they are serving. I will let them do the grilled cheese but I make the pasta and tomato sauce, mac and cheese, etc.
But...
Snacks: I usually send cheerios, baby goldfish, apple pieces, string cheese, and/or american cheese slice.
No more puffs...he has boycotted them

Re: Do you send DC to daycare with snacks?
Yes because DD has a milk allergy and I don't allow her to eat any food unless it is provided by me.
I send her with a slice of cheese and wheatables and a piece of fruit every day. I leave puffs, cheerios, cereal bars and occassionally animal crackers in her cabinet in case she ever needs a filler or doesn't want to eat whatever I gave her.

Noah is 4... so he is older.
He goes with Goldfish crackers or cheese nips, Sliced apples and a little snack pack tub of peanut butter, Yogurts, bananas, Raisins, Trail Mix, pretzels, carrot sticks with cream cheese or sour cream dip, crackers and cheese or a little baggie of cookies or some junky type chip.
