Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I do say TIA or Thank You when I get back to the post. I do notice that I give certain people advice and do not get any thanks or aknowledgement but thats cool. I don't need a pat on the back

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
Yes, I do.......I don't always get the same in return, as far as when someone sends me an FM asking for advice or something, and I don't get a "thank you" when I answer......Kinda annoying.....but I will still always help when I can...

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I try to say thank you when I post something but it's usually a blanket thank you for the entire post. If I take up someone's suggestion then I try to thank them specifically. I really do appreciate all the help I get here - I'd be lost without it.

when making a post asking for help or advice???
I try and make an effort to read my threads and thank people for helping me out but I do notice that sometimes the advice/help goes without any acknowledgement.
Anyone else notice this???
Yes, I usually do. I feel weird not going back to it to thank them.
And yes, I do find some that do not.

I try to say thank you but I don't like to bump up my post once it's off the first page.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
Always. You're looking for help/info/advice and people go out of their way to offer it and you don't thank them??
What bothers me even more is if someone FMs you for info and doesn't thank you after you give it to them.

I hate when someone posts asking for help and you send them an FM giving them advice/info and they don't thank you. I mean even if they don't use the advice/info how hard is to say thank you

I totally agree....but what kills me is that someone goes back and reads the post for the advice/help and then doesnt respond with a thank you...KWIM??? You are reading the post...just post a general thanks to all....

I am always thankful, but feel bad bumping my own post for that reason (don't want others to see it as a gratuitous bump)
I've never thought of this and now feel bad for not thanking people for their advice.....
Same here. I try to thank ahead of time in the original, and I am always grateful for responses, but hate to bump it for no other reason.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I definitely try to make an effort to thank people-- although, sometimes you can get bogged down at work and sometimes your post gets buried, etc., and you forget.
Anyway-- I love this board for the wealth of information that everyone provides!

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
I try to post a thank you, and I do read the suggestions and advice I receive. Usually, I like to let people know what I've decided to do, but sometimes it takes me awhile to decide and the original post isn't so easy to locate any longer. I also don't get on this board every day or even every other day, so at times it takes me awhile or doesn't work out.

Re: Do you say "Thank you"...
Yes, I do. I feel bad because I usually don't get back to it until later and end up bumping my thread, but I want to show people that I appreciate their help or kind words.
