Do you register at BBB or BRU with a second child?
I just had DD 2 years ago exactly. I will be having a DS in Sept. A couple of people asked me when I was having a shower... i didnt even think of having one this time. Is it typical to have another shower or register with DC #2? I dont really need anything since we bought all gender neutral stuff 2 years ago. Thoughts on a shower or registering?

Re: Do you register at BBB or BRU with a second child?
I registered @ BRU, and I am having a "sprinkle".
We have a boy now, and EVERYTHING we have is blue/sports themed lol. Now we are having a girl, so we need new bedding, a swing (we sold DS's b/c he hated it), to replace some things that broke and some other girly items.
I know some people feel it's greedy or tacky to have a shower, especially when they are close in age, but I really don't care what people think lol...if you don't like it, don't come. I feel when they are different sexes, it's perfectly fine to have a shower, sprinkle, whatever you call it. Especially if you need certain things that you might have sold, broken, etc. JMO.

Re: Do you register at BBB or BRU with a second child?
I had a shower for both #1 and #2(they were 8 years apart) and a sprinkle for #3(thrown by my inlaws).
I registered for #1 and #2... for #3 I registered but it's just really for me so i know what i need and to get the completion certificate at the end. I have 2 girls with the 3rd on the way so we really didn't need much for the 3rd, so i got alot of gift cards, diapers and wipes, which all come in handy.

I don't know about a full blown shower but a sprinkle sounds cute with just your closest friends and family... I'd say register anyways even if you have neither. Like this, if people want to visit you and the baby but don't want to come empty handed, they can take a quick peek at your registery and get something from there because I would have no idea what you were able to carry over from your first.

My mom threw us a sprinkle for our second and they are different sexes, but will be around two years apart. We put a few things on the registry, figuring people would rather select their own gifts, but we actually got a lot of compliants that there wasnt enough on the registry.

i think a sprinkle is cute. I would register for a few items. maybe any items that you don't already have or something that new that got old from your last child.

I didn't have a shower for either child but I registered for both. There were many things that I needed to get for DS2. Mine were 23 months apart

Same here. My mom offered to throw me a shower, but I thought it would be very presumptuous, since my DD is only 18 months old.
Most of our stuff from DD was gender neutral, we just bought DS a new bedding set and new clothes. All the rest we're reusing.

I didn't have a sprinkle or a shower but I did register. Some of my friends asked and bought things of the registry for me.
