BBB or BRU, which is better to register at?
I may start my registry and was wondering, which was better to register at and why?

BRU , initally i registered at BBB but alot of my family is out of town plus there is so much more to choose from on BRU-i found if you want to include things such as diapers etc, it was easier going with BRU. I guess it depends on your preference!
But..i think BRU is much better!

The only thing that concerns me is the return policy, that you need a receipt which I am not many will not get....

I only registered at BBB b/c of their customer service, ease of returns, ability to use Bed Bath and Beyond coupons and other coupons [competitors etc.] and the fact that they had everything I wanted.
BRU is definitely more accessible to the public and their website is a lot better than BBBs. Those are big pluses. What sucks about BRU is their continuous long lines, horrible return policy [you must have a receipt for returns- even for gifts] and I have knowledge of nasty customer service to my SIL who was will my 2 month old nephew.
I would check out which stores have everything you want- or close to it- and either register for everything at one, or do a big registry at one and then a small one at the other if they have things the 1st doesn't carry.
For me, customer service is huge. And if a store or chain has a history of bad CS, even in one event that I personally know of, they will NOT get my hard earned money or business.

I did both. No one bought from my BBB registry. I liked BRU much better there were just certain things BBB had that BRU didn't (the original miracle blanket, the car seat I wanted, and the furniture)

If it came off of your registry you don't need a receipt. I just returned some things from my shower with no receipt and it was no problem. I preferred BRU, I liked their selection better and they had more of what I was looking for but again, that was my preference. Walk around both, see what you like and want and then decide which is best OR just create 2 registries........one at each!! Good luck and have fun!!

BRU in terms of convenience.
BBB in terms of customer service and staff training.
We live near both so its not an issue for us, but every time we go to BRU, its as if the workers there are doing us a favor by helping and talking to us.

BBB definitely has better customer service. They had so many sales staff on the floor who are knowledgeable and open to answering your questions.
At BRU you had to wait to speak to them and even wait to register!
I'm putting most of my stuff on BBB and anything else not available there will be on BRU.

I totally agree. Every time I walk into BBB, the staff are friendly, ask if I need help and really know what they are talking about. This was so important to me when I was looking at strollers. At BRU, no one knew anything about the strollers and at one point, I couldn't even find anyone to ask.
The one positive to BRU is convenience. My shower is on 9/13 and a bunch of things have come off my BBB registry, although not as much as BRU.

BBB for customer service and BRU for convenience and their website is ten times better. We have registries at both but only a few items at BBB, our large registry is at BRU.

I think where you are located is a big factor.
We're registering at both, but I do know 75% of my guests are closer to a BRU than a BBB. Only DH's family in Huntington and some of my family in New Hyde Park have ever heard of BBB. I think its more of a city thing, as BRU seems to be more popular for the Suffolk County folks.
I like the convience of BRU and I find there prices better (for items I've looked into), but I love BBBs bedding, hence the two registeries.
