Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I BF DD for 26 months...and plan to do the same with #2. By the same, I mean go by their cues and wean together.

I did not take any BF classes...I did, however meet with an LC a few days after DD was born and it was the best money spent.

My only advice would be to take one day at a time...happy mommy, happy baby Chat Icon

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I plan on breast feeding if I can. My mom had trouble producing milk for both my brother and I so i'm not sure if i'll be able to.
But hopefully I can and I want to! but as far as a class goes, i'm not sure yet.

I hope to EBF, but I don't plan on taking a class...I do intend to take full advantage of the lactation consultant at the hospital, and I did buy a book about breastfeeding from the La Leche people.

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I would love to BF however there is some medication that I am supposed to resume taking once I deliver so I will see how that goes. I am disappointed but I know my health is just as important.

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I EBF my DS and also had horrible PPD. This time, although we know how beneficial BFing is for the baby, we are PROBABLY going straight to formula. I want to enjoy this baby and want to take that stress away for ME. It was hard AND rewarding, but my husband and I both agree that it will be less stress this time around if we just go straight to FF.

ETA- This is just MY situation and do not by any means want to imply that BFing is this stressful for everyone.

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I plan on BF. I took a class through my hospital - I am going to be honest - there was a lot of useful info given but at the same time it was so overwhelming to me that it made me doubt my decision. I still plan on BF but I am going to do it how I feel most comfortable to make it less stressful on the both of us

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I EBF'd DS for 3 months and then BF'd and FF'd until 4 months when I went back to work and went to full formula.

I plan to do the same for DS#2.

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

I hope to bf while I'm home on 3 months maternity leave. I think trying to keep it up when I go back to work will be too stressful. I'm hoping that at least 3 months will be beneficial to the baby.

Re: Do you plan to breastfeed?

No -
I pupmed for 3 weeks for Sean -
Every 2 hours for 20 - 30 min @ a time.
I got a 4oz bottle PER DAY if I was lucky -

I'll try to pump again w/ this guy - but I have no interest in BFing -

i bf dd for 20 months and i hope to bf more or less just as long with Chat Icon #2.
