She was going to get a part time job since all her kds are in school full time now so i told her not to and that i would pay her $100/wk. cant beat that price and i know my kids are being taken care of by someone who loves them.

I am not in this situation (i'm a SAHM) but if my mom were going to be watching my boys, I would pay her..mostly because she needs the $$. she would never be able to watch them all week and not get paid, she is single and has very little $$. I don't think there is anything wrong with it at all!! My SIL has her MIL watch the kids and she doesn't accept $$ b/c they are well off. I guess it depends on the circumstance!
