do you need permits for this type of electrical work?

i know you need a CO to upgrade electricity in your house.

we're getting lighting installed (currently no overhead lights in some rooms) and wires cleaned up. anyone know if you need a permit or CO for this?

we do to upgrade the electric. then the town comes into inspect tthe work.

I don't think so. The electrician came and upgraded and then someone came and checked his work.

in a town with its own building dept probably. you need a fire underwriter's cert too.
