Do you like the color brown?

This post has no real home because it applies to many things. I was just looking through the ads from Sundays paper and I realized that brown is everywhere these days. Clothing, sheets, towels, blankets, couches, chairs...

It has been paired with pink, light blue, aqua, light green, taupe, ivory and even red!

I know it was popular in the 70's and early 80's but then black came in and everyone used it as the neutral color to anchor their clothes and home decor.

Now that brown is back, do you like it? Do you wear it? Do you decorate with it?

I LOVE Brown! I love to wear it and i love decorating schemes that involve it, esp brown/teal

I decorate with it - our bedroom is brown with many shades of it.

It's in my wardrobe.

heck it was also used for our wedding. the color scheme used throughout the entire affair was brown and ivory.

Yes. I always did. I love that it has been "updated" to new color combination.

brown and pink
brown and icy blue
etc....

I'm wearing a brown sweater right now!
I wear brown more than black. I have a few cocktail dresses that are brown too.

Sure, I like it. I've painted rooms in my house brown, I wear brown clothes a lot, heck, the color of the outside of my house I affectionately call "doody brown".

The only thing brown I would not really like is a brown color car. That to me says 1970's!! (and yes, my parents had a brown station wagon).

i love it because its warmer than black. i wear it & use it in decorating.

Yup i love it! I didn't realize it ever went out of fashion (but maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part!)

I painted our bedroom and kitchen terrazo tan. I love to wear brown (all shades) and I just designed a quilt for my guild that was chocolate brown and turquiose.

I like brown too. Actually, my girls wore brown in my wedding for their BM's dresses. If I ever get the pics back I will post!!

I LOVE brown...I wear it, decorate with it & even paint with it.

I feel it is a more compliment color then black, it is softer...I also LOVE the combinations with brown better then black

I used to not like brown. But now I have some some boots and handbags in brown and I'm really getting to love the color. For YEARS I only wore black, but now I'm incorporating brown into my wardrobe. I still haven't gotten to decorating with brown, but I always like dark brown wood furniture rather than light colors or black furniture.

I've always worn brown, it goes nicely with my hair & skin.

We are doing brown in our house too but just with things that are normally brown or that will be leaving with us when we go - the couch, the bed, other furniture.

We like the brighter colors to be on the walls. Plus, our house is not that big so we didn't want to make it seem smaller by putting dark colors on the walls.

I have had no problem finding accessories to go with the green/brown, blue/brown color scheme - pillows, bathroom items, etc.

I just want to make sure when this goes out of style, it can be changed fairly easily for potential buyers.

Use it for decorating, not for wearing.

DW and I like shades of brown. We have a taupe PT cruiser, our bathroom is several shades of light brown, when we redo the livingroom, it will be some shade of brown. We'll probably do a shade of brown for the siding.

I'm not a huge fan of brown for clothing for myself. I prefer black, but brown is great for a lot of other things.

I like brown when paired with brighter, paler colors like Tiffany Blue or apple green

ive always loved brown.. its a non harsh neutral
pretty much goes with everything (and was confirmed on what not to wear by the almighty stacy and clinton haha)

im not a fan of brown rugs i like something greyish or beige but for now its brown until we can change the rugs from the previous owners

my fave combo is brown and pink
