I used to, but lately her dinners have been a weird mess of things. Plus with the amount of ingredients in half of her recipes they can't be done in a 30 minutes.

she can be a bit much.
it's funny - randomly - my brother felt bad for her - he always used to say, i know she's annoying, but give her a break, she's nice. lol!
meanwhile, my sister and i were like NO, she's ANNOYING.

I find her food very sloppy! For example, she will combine two different types of food (mexican and italian) to make a weird type of lasagna. I think it appeals to middle america but not someone with a sophisticated palate.

Eww, that sounds weird. To be fair, though, I don't think she claims to be gourmet. It's every day kind of food.
And yeah, her magazine is decent. I let my subscription lapse but I miss it.

I like her ideas/food philisophy...but I find her just soooo annoying and grating

I don't care if that is what you do, but when you sell "cookbooks" and make MILLIONS off of what people do every day....she's like a snake oil salesman!
See, as a cook (which I consider myself and you), I get this.
But, while I find her very annoying, I do see the service she provides. I have a few friends, who had never picked up a pot and pan before and said that Sandra Lee eased them into cooking.
I can totally see that. She doesn't use overwhelming ingrediants and she makes easy to assemble meals. So for the novice, I think she's a decent entry way into cooking.
Rachael Ray on the other hand, might as well work at McDonalds. All she makes is burgers.

Someone I used to work with once said to me "You remind me of Rachael Ray. You're... perky".
I think the underlying message was most likely: "You remind me of Rachael Ray. You're hyper and annoying, and I don't really like you".

As always I'm gonna be the brave soul and go against the herd...
I LOVE HER.
I never understand why people hate her voice. I'm no lesbian but I think her voice is sultry/sexy and my hubby thinks she's super hot.
I just think she's so pretty and love the format of her talk show. She seems like she'd be fun to hang out with and I like that she is kind of 'chunky' (by TV standards).
I also just like looking at her fake kitchen ... I have a lot of her kitchen stuff/cookware. It's so colorful and everything I have works great.
The only thing that annoys me about her is how EVERYTIME she puts cheese on something... she pauses and is like 'I KNOW!' and everyone applauses.
And that every 4 shows she talks about how they should create smell-o-vision (...although, THEY SHOULD.)
She may not be a 'master chef' -- but I'm willing to bet none of you are looking to cook like one either. She makes cooking easy for the everyman/everywoman. I never feel like anything she makes is too complicated for me.
...give me a guest appearance by Paula Dean and I will just about wet my pants.
ETA: I just told my DH what I was typing about and he said 'What?! She's so cute.' 'They don't like her voice' 'Her voice is sexy!'

I like that her meals are easy everyday food with ingredients that are usually household staples. She gives good tidbits of advice. I like her but sometimes she could be alittle cheesy.

OK, another out-lyer here. I am obsessed with her! I do find some of her facial contortions irritating, but I love watching the cooking segments on her show. And I've gotten some of her pots and cooking utensils and they are great (I wouldn't recommend her knives though...they didn't get good reviews).
I have liked all the recipes I've made of hers, so I guess I don't have a very sophisticated palate.
The only think I find annoying is that I often can't find some of the ingredients I need for her recipes. I don't know if I shop in a supermarket that is for the less-priveleged, or what, but I just can't find so many things she uses.

Rachael Ray - LOVE HER! Yup, I'm out there on the limb with just a few of you. I don't find her annoying at all. I like her recipes, they are easy to follow, she doesn't use "odd" ingredients that are difficult to find, she has good tips about cutting time down in preparation and I love her pots and utensils.
I also like that she is a huge dog advocate.
Sandra Lee - I don't know who would make those table scapes, but I LOVE Cocktail time. She also has a money saving meals show where she doesn't use any of the "boxed" stuff and I've gotten some great recipes from there too.
And Paula Deen- my absolute favorite.
I read Sandra Lee and Paula Deen's autobiographies, I admire both of these women, they both had difficult lives and are "self made" successes.

I diid not know how to cook at of all.
While nursing my newborn, I turned her on to sit and watch.
Whatever she made that day, I bundled up my baby, walked to grocery store, came home and copied.
She is so basic, but good! I find that many of the others are out of my price range.
If I buy onion, carrot and celery...I have most of the ingredients she uses.
LOVE her STOUPS! LOVE her ROll OVER meals. she saves me tons!

I actually just heard this from somebody today who used to work at a TV station in Boston where she appeared and they said she was a nasty B. I was so shocked...she doesn't seem like that at all on TV to me.
