Do you keep anything in your maiden name?
DH had a hissy fit because I ordered new checks and they have my maiden name on them.
Yes, it is my personal cjaecking account and I never changed the name on it. Nor for my credit card!
I don't see the big deal but DH thinks it's because I am not crazy about my married name.

My DH made me change EVERYTHING.
The only thing I did do was put my maiden name and married name on my MBA diploma. He got upset about this, but I told him that my undergrad diploma only had my maiden name on it, and I wanted some consistency there. He just had to deal with it

Everything is in my maiden name. I didn't change my name. When more men start changing their "maiden" names then I might think about changing my name, but until then- nope.

The only things that aren't are some stocks that I have out there.
And that is because I haven't gotten around to sending my marriage certificate to anyone.

My degrees and certifications are in my maiden name. I will leave them that way.
My car loan and insurance are still in my maiden name, as well as my debit card and one credit card. Only reason why is because I am too lazy to fax over my marriage license to prove that my name changed!

My degrees, everything at work (email, health insurance), credit cards, and my bank accounts are hyphenated so I can deposit checks made out to either name. It might be easier to ask what I DID change my name on--my license, car registration, SS card, and passport.
I've been married almost 3 years.

My degrees and our timeshare have my maiden name. I have my maiden name on my debit card also, but officially the account has my married name. I have both my maiden and married name on my drivers license.
I really didn't make the change until a month before our 1st son was born. I wanted to make sure that my married name was on his birth certificate.

I kept my maiden name on my degrees. Since my parents paid for it, I thought it would be nice to keep it in the family name.

My credit cards are in my maiden name and my student loans. There are a few that I will change but the rest will stay in my maiden name since Im planning on tossing them once I pay them off.

I changed everything. Even my PE license. I actually kept my maiden name as my middle name and show it all on my license because then its easier to back track to my degrees in my maiden name.
ETA: I didn't even know it was possoble to change your degrees to your married name  Mine are in my maiden name.

DMV told me I would have to go to court to make my maiden name my middle name. SS let me do it no problem.

No. I still have some military records in my maiden name, but that's only because the process is slow and changing every record is a real pain. Eventually hopefully everything will be in my married name.
