Yeah! DH has finally said we can try for a baby in a few months... after we get back from our postponed honeymoon...

I'm so excited I'm already picking names! :D

Don't think we will ever agree on names, so I will wait until I absolutely need to pick them.

We have a boy's name picked out. As for a girl's name, DH hates all the names I like.

Strangely enough alot of my friends and siblings and in laws have picked all the good and popular names so I have to think of something creative...

For example, I love the name Tristan but my cousin has already used that *sigh*

Boy name - have loved Jordan forever! I also love the name Jack but DH's last name rhymes with it so that was out!

Girls names - cannot decide!! Love Olivia, Mallory, Addison, Annabelle - always changing my mind with girl names - know that regardless of first name I want middle name Beth - just think it's pretty and simple and goes well with other names

i like the name Jordan too altho I'm leaning towards something that goes better with my hubby's last name.

Beth is a cute middle name, it's very versatile.

Marie is also another good middle name.

I love the name Dylan for a boy. I also love Jake, Jacob and Aidan.

For a girl, I love the name Katelyn, Alexandra, Adrianna and Victoria.

We can't decide on a boys name at all but we want Emma if it's a girl.

boys: Jake or Jack Anthony ( my grandpas name, he passed) DH HATES both.

girls: Jele, or Lola, Grace

DH also hates these...he wants a "normal" name like Mike or Bill his name is Rex and doesnt want the kids to have "odd" names.

I've always wanted to name my daughter after my grandmother -- Mena. I also like Vivian and Audra.

DH always wanted Alexander for a boy, but I have to say I'd rather do Alexandra for a girl -- I think I just have bad associations with boys named Alex.

We'll probably start TTC in June/July and we talk about names all the time.
This is what we have so far:
Girls: Rebecca, Sophia, Dillan/Dillon/Dylan (not sure how I would spell it)
Boys: Jacob, Dylan. We disagree on many boys names.
I love Ryan and Alex for boys too but we have cousins with those names...I may use them anyway though.

ETA: Oh and I like Grace for a girl's middle name but have no idea about a middle name for a boy. I would like to name the boy after my grandfather but his name was Irving and there aren't many good "I" names

I always liked for boy names Aiden, Landon, Mason, Jackson and Tyler.

For Girls: Mackenzie, Hailey, & Madison

We disagree on names, but I have convinced him to use my girl name. We are still undecided on a boys name. One hting for sure, we wil not name him after DH.

For Girls we like: Taylor, Taylen, Deryn, Evie, Chase

For boys: Chase, Taylor, Derynn (spl different for boy)

We agree that the babies should have their own identity and dont want to name them Jr anything.

So glad i'm not the only one who's not naming my future ds after my hubby. :D

I think it's great if your hubby has a great sounding name but in general I won't want to subject my son to be called Jr. his whole life...

I think all the names proposed are great so far. You guys have really given it thought! Way to go for being so prepared!

I love the names Aiden, Dylan, Jordan, Alexandra, Caitlyn, etc. They are definitely in keeping up with the times.

this made me laugh.... i have my list of names that i love. dh will shoot down every one that i come up with - so we will wait until we are pregnant to figure out - i figure it will be quiet the adventure - every girl name i pick out - he tells me that it sounds like a stripper.. and is dead set on naming a baby - boy or girl thursday - YES THURSDAY..... can you imagine?...

btw - no offense to anyone who is named thursday, has a child named thursday, or wants to name their child thursday... lol

Isabella. I love that name. I was out shopping before and saw the cutest sign that said Isabella on it in homegoods. i was like....is this a sign?

and Peyton or Reese for a girl. who knows what DH will say about those though!

i like Cavan for a boy (County in Ireland my grandmother was from). Middle name???? Maybe Michael (DH's middle name)

I think Ashlynn or Bailey for a girl. Possible middle names: Regina (DH's grandmother), Martina (DH's other gram), or Maeve (Irish form of Mary - my middle name)

We have some ideas of names, but don't share them with family because on the one or two occasions we have casually mentioned somethings we have gotten remarks like "oh really?" or "you know what name I like? The name_______". So, now we just say nothing and plan on sharing the names after the baby is born. Much les of a chance for comments then!
