Do you have a happy baby
I feel so incredibly lucky that Mikayla is a very easy baby...she is ALWAYS smiling and only cries if she is hungry or her teeth hurt......what is your baby's personality like?

Ryan is the most happy little boy. He hardly ever is in a bad mood and has been like this from day 1! Everyone says the same thing too.

My first was real easy. I was truly blessed at how easy he was. Never a problem. Ate, slept and was just genuinely happy overall.
My DD is a little different  While I have no complaints in the eating and sleeping department, her waking moments are a little trying, to say the least

I could have wrote this-my 1st son has always been easy....at 2 1/2 I can probably count the amount of times he has cried my 2nd, well, lets just say not as "happy" as the above posters, perhaps Im making up for the 1st being so easy!

This is exactly how I feel too - we didn't even know that she was getting teeth since she didn't complain! She has also never complained about her reflux - she will spit up while smiling at you.
It is actually really funny. After DD was born, some one of DH's friends came to visit. After they left, DH said to me that he was worried. Of course, I asked him what about and he told me that he was concerned that his friends would think that ALL babies were as good and happy as DD. I thought it was really cute.

Now at 9 months old, I have an extremely happy baby.. he is always laughing, smiling, truly a joy..
From newborn until about 4 months old.. uhhhhh no way. He was miserable -- colicy, had awful gas and acid reflux, and cried ALL the time. It was rough  I used to feel like his every waking moment was spent with him whining or wailing (when he wasn't eating) and I used to look forward to naps and bedtime because it used to be the only moments when he seemed content. It would break my heart to see him this way and I was convinced I had the most unhappy baby out there... heck I cried as much as he did!
Most of all, I couldn't believe it when everyone told me that he'd grow out of it. "It will get better" were those 4 words that I hated hearing from all the other BTDT mommies!
But they were right. He did get better. And he's amazing now

I have a happy toddler, but no, I didn't have a happy baby. But the toddler bit is more than making up for the unhappy baby bit. I can't remember the unhappy baby bit!!

Now at 7 weeks, Bella is really happy! She's always smiling and talking. She's only really fussy when she's over tired and gassy and obviously hungry. But I've learned to figure it out before there's an eruption and she starts wailing.
I love how alert and fun she is now. She cracks me up with her toothless smile and giggle!
(it wasn't always like this though!!  )

Megan has always been an extremely happy baby. I literally cannot remember a time as a newborn where she screamed and cried. She wouldnt even cry when she woke up for feedings. I would just hear movement or little whimpers, and I knew she was up.
She was always smiling..always laughing..and if not that, then she was sleeping.
Now at 11 months old, she is basically the same. She has developed a "temper" at times. She gets frustrated but I think its because she cant communicate her wants just yet. She basically STILL never cries. She comes with me to the nursing home to see great grandma EVERY DAY..we spend hours there, she is mostly in her carriage and she hardly EVER complains about it. She is just basically a happy baby. Anything can make her laugh (especially her Aunt LOL) and crying is just not a part of her personality. I am truly blessed!

mine is not a crier at all...I was shocked when the teeth popped up and he never cries when he is hungry. He wakes up happy in his crib talking. But, he needs constant interaction or he whines and yells at me. He is a huge cuddle monkey, as I type, he is under the chair tapping my leg wanting to be picked up . He laughs a lot, he cracks himself up.
So, he is happy, but only because I live to make him happy. Naps on me, held all the time, sang to all the time. He could never be happy on his own. If DH worked less or Josh was a twin...it would be a different story all together.

I feel so lucky that Asher has always been a pretty "easy" baby. The first few weeks I was always waiting for the fussy stage to set in and thankfully it never did. He has always been incredibly smiley, happy and adaptable --an easy baby to take out dinner, to friends' houses, or shopping, etc. I really hope I get this lucky the next time around.

my first was happy, easy and a breeze.
DS... let's just say he's "sensitive" TO EVERYTHING.
He needs to be held all the time, not just those hours at night when all babies lose it...he's very gassy no matter what. I think that has a lot to do with it. DD was NOT gassy.
I also blame DH...my MIL says he was fussy as a baby.
