I don't.
My guest bath on the main floor is off the kitchen (which is kind of gross  ) and the shower is never used - the bathroom is really only used when we have company. Guests who stay overnight use the bathroom upstairs across from the guest bedroom to shower.
I thought about putting a rug but the bathroom is on the smaller side so I didn't want it to look cluttered, plus I didn't want another rug to vacuum - it's easier to clean the bathroom with just the tiles...
But now maybe I will think about getting one, I don't want the room to look naked

Even if BIL didnt use our guest bathroom I would probably still have a mat down... because its part of a set, with the toilet bowl cover and the toilet rug

I only have one bathroom but if I had an extra, I would put a bathmat in there, I think it looks good...

I don't have a guest bath, but I never have a bath mat in my bathroom. I've always had small bathrooms too. I have the bath math that matches the towel set that I put down when we shower, but I hate the rug type. They get so damp, and its one more thing to clean.

i actually hate the way bath mats look, i hang mine over the tub as soon as i get out of the shower. the shoer curtain hides it and it dries while its hanging.
i dont think you need one.

Same here. I'm not sure if the OP was talking about these (which are more like a thin towel) or the ones that are more like a rug.
