Do you have a backup camera on your car? All of my cars do, but I added them aftermarket. Makes backing up so much safer and easier. I also have a forward-facing one on my truck, since I sometimes have a bracket sticking out in front that I can't see, so it helps me judge the front distance.
Some cars are getting multiple cameras for different views, so I added that option.

I have a Honda Odyssey. It has a back up camera and passenger side-view camera. Came that way from the factory.

Yes. BY May 2018 it will be mandatory for all new cars were to have them. A 2 year old LI toddler was killed when he was backed over and his family, along with a Dix Hills (Alec Nelson) family fought relentlessly for this law.
It's the Cameron Gulbransen law (safety act).

Yes, I have one. Came with my Highlander. Love it!!! Such an excellent feature along with blind spot monitoring..........both should be standard in every car .

My car is older than dirt so no.
My DH does and personally I find it very very hard to get used to when you are used to driving all your life without it.
I find myself still wanting to look in the rear view mirror/look over my shoulder to back up.

Yes, DH's does the same with the beeping. It's especially annoying when there is snow banks around and you are trying to back out of the driveway it senses them and beeps so loud it gives me a heart attack

Dhs new car new has it. Mine, which is older, does not. I don't drive that much (maybe 1-2x a week) but I am a fairly new and nervous driver so I wish I had one!

Oh god the beeping! A car could drive behind me and nothing... a leaf blows by 3 blocks over and it beep beep beeps... it also only works about half the time..

We have them on both cars but one of them has different angles to choose from and it's set on the sides- so it beeps if something is about to pass you, but not directly behind you. Anyway, about 2 days after we got the car, I drove DH to the train and backed out of the driveway, not really paying attention. All of a sudden he screams "STOP!" I almost backed into a parked car (illegally parked, btw). My response? "Well it DIDN'T BEEP!!!!"
