Do you have a 401K?
How often is your 401K deposited from your work?
ETA: Once the money is taken out of your paycheck, is it deposited directly into your 401K or is there a delay?

technically, i have a 403b... same thing, it's just not corporate (i work in a school, so they can't match my contributions). I get money taken out every paycheck.

I have one and it comes out every pay check which is every two weeks. We do not have a match program at my job we get a profit sharing contribution from our employer once a year.

Every pay check until I max out. That said, I plan my contributions so that I max out on the last paycheck and maximize my company's match.
I've never heard of a plan that transfers employee contributions to the accounts on a frequency other than every pay period. Why do you ask?

Yes. I have 3 actually, one from each of my jobs I've had, and I just never consolidated. SInce I still work PT, a % of every pay check still goes into my 401K.

Money comes out of my check everyweek.
Every time I raise, I split the raise and put more money in my 401k. I figured its like getting a raise twice. a little more money now and a little more money when we retire.

DH does 12% for his.

They take money out every paycheck (including our annual bonus).
The company matches our contributions for the previous year every Feb. I believe it's 2 for 1 for the first 3% and 1/2 for 1 for the next 2%.

I ask because I have money for my 401K taken out of my paycheck twice a month. When you go to the account online, the last time money was deposited into my 401K account was Feb 29th. This means the company is holding onto 4 paychecks and I contribute 15% of my salary. My coworkers are furious and I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

Mine comes directly out of my paycheck, and into my 401k. They match 3% of 6%.
I actually don't know if there is a delay.  I guess I should check that out.

Me too. However, my company only gives us the match on December 31st. SO if you leave the company before the end of the year, you don't get the company 401k match.
